Leak-proof diaper advice!

FTM, my boy’s 2 weeks old and it seems like no matter what we do his pee leaks out his diaper!
I breastfeed so I get peed on regularly lol and we’ve had to wash our sheets and all his swaddles multiple times already.
We make sure his wee is angled down when putting on new diaper, and the straps are secure with no gaps around the waist or legs, but it keeps leaking out!
Is there something we’re missing? Do some diaper brands work better than others? Do we just need more practice changing diapers?? Pls help we don’t have in unit washer/dryer we can’t be washing pee off everything all the time lol😭😭🙏🏼

Our boy always leaked through pampers. We switched to Huggies and it seemed to solve our problem!

I feel your pain 😂 We had to trial and error nappy brands to see what worked best for us - when we tried everything we sized up and the leaking stopped! Fingers crossed you get it sorted and have less washing 😂🤗

I had this problem too, i found that i wasn’t putting it high enough on the back !!

we use millie moon & i would also recommend going up a size if it fits perfectly on him.

My boy leaked in everything except pampers nappies. The ones with tabs and not the nappy pants. Trial error got us there!

Coterie is amazing. Love the N+1 diapers since my baby is in between sizes.

Huggies active fit. My boy moves around a lot even before he started crawling and these were my problem solver for that. Make sure he’s using the correct size too.

The only diaper that my son has not leaked through is Millie Moon. Also make sure that his bits are pointed down because if they're not pee will go everywhere

We found pampers worked best for us and our son. Are you making sure the leg ruffles are pulled out? Also sizing up can help too like others have said

I switched to Rascals and we haven't had a leak since!

Should my toddler be forward facing now?

My husband thinks he should still be rear facing but I think he needs to be forward facing now because he’s tall and it’ll make it easier for him to climb in his seat plus easier for me to get him in and out. He will be 2 June 25.

The reason you stopped breastfeeding?

I want to find out the reasons why the majority of women stop breastfeeding by 6months. If you’re not producing enough milk or your baby just will not latch, then I obviously get that. But I’m finding people’s opinions on it are sooooooo varied, it’s fascinating how different everyone’s experience is.

Am I wrong for not offering my baby a dummy?

I always said I didn’t want my baby having a dummy because I knew kids in school that still had dummy’s and heard parents talking about how hard it is to get their children to give the dummy up. So in my head I thought well if she never has a dummy that won’t be a problem right? But my baby is now 3.5 months and I keep seeing things about dummy’s reducing the risk of sids but I still don’t want to offer her one through fear of her becoming reliant on it.
So am I a bad mum for not giving her a dummy?

I can’t stop crying

Can anyone relate to this? My girl is 3 months, will be 4 months of the 16 of this month and she absolutely doesn’t sleep. She doesn’t take naps during the day because I’ve been trying to train her to sleep without me. She’ll have about 2 contact naps with me not lasting longer than 2 hours, if even that. She doesnt go to sleep at night till about 12 in the morning and then is up again around 3 or sometimes 5. But then once she’s up again it’s so hard to get her to sleep again she literally refuses and fight the sleep. Idk what to do at this point. I’ve tried the schedule, I’ve tried baths, I’ve tried letting her fall asleep on me…but the minute I set her down she’s up and talking and thinks it’s a damn party. I can’t stop crying because I don’t get any sleep at this point.
When she was a newborn she was up ever 2 hours on the dot. And now this…

Antidepressants while pregnant

Has anyone started on antidepressants whilst pregnant and never had them before?

I’m really struggling with my mental health right now and think I have done for a long time. I had therapy after my first baby because I was struggling but I feel like even the coping strategies they gave me during therapy aren’t working now and I might need to ask my midwife if I should go on antidepressants. I’m just a bit worried about how they will affect me having never been on them before, plus already having a toddler to take care of at home.

Any advice would be appreciated

Post-partum Struggles - any one relate?

Hey, I had my baby girl 17 days ago, I’m struggling bad with anxiety around the baby. Whether it be her breathing pattern changes, mucusy wheezy sounds, her crying for hours and me thinking I’ve not done enough. When she was born (c-section) she spent her first night chocking on mucus and the midwives are telling me it’s normal but it doesn’t make it less distressing until she finally got help and had mucus suctioned out of her. This is where my anxiety hit its peak.

Her dad is amazing however he will need to go back to work soon, I’m so scared to parent alone. I don’t have a support network, and my family work so I truly am alone and worry about what I can do☹️.

The best way to describe is that I’m scared of my baby, I love her unconditionally but she terrifies me.

Is anyone else struggling similar, or have the same worry’s or experienced the same things?
