Heartburn and Acid Reflux

Hi! I only got about an hours sleep last night as I’ve really been struggling with heartburn and acid reflux, but last night it was the worst it’s ever been and was so painful.
Does anyone have any tips or pregnancy safe medication you can take for this?

Omeprazole via gp. Midwife had mine prescribed for me. However I do/did have acid reflux problems prior to pregnancy.

Either gaviscon or rennie in liquid form. (Stores own is fine also if you don’t want to spend a fortune) Tablets are handy to have if you’re out and about and you’re just needing a quick something.

Most antacid liquid is safe to use however peptobismol isn’t so make sure to check the labels to make sure it’s safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding etc.

Also is easier said than done as you just want to be comfortable but if you can when you’re in bed try your hardest to sleep on your left hand side, if you do end up sleeping on your right keep your head elevated as much as possible as the acid will come back up and cause you problems

(Hope everyone’s suggestions give you some relief) xxx

C section

Hi mums I had c section 10 days ago and was taking paracetemol and ibuprofen regularly
I stopped taking ibuprofen last night as was upsetting my tummy but noticed this morning how much pain I’m in without it.
Does it really do much for the pain? I was only taking paracetemol.
How long was you on pain killers after c section?

Huge baby!

Is it just me or are these 2026 babies built differently? My 7 week old baby is outgrowing EVERYTHING. He's in 0-3 month clothing but I genuinely don't think I've got much more room in it... For comparison, here's my first born in a onesie at 4 months old Vs my 7 week old in the exact same onesie 🫣🤣 think I'm going to be reaching the 3-6 months out sooner rather than later 🤣

Induction

I’m currently 38 weeks today. I have a scan on Monday as baby has been measuring bigger but not too big. On Tuesday I have a consultant appointment where they will give me a sweep.

They have advised that they do not want me going past my due date due to babies size, GD and strep B.

However, I never had any of this with my first baby and I’m so nervous and scared. I really don’t want an induction. Has anyone ever been in this or a similar situation?

All I hear about inductions is negative, a lot of pain and most end up in a c-section.
