Hey, I’m putting a post out to find some good preparations for a C-section as that may be how I’ll be delivering my baby girl come this July/august. What things can you suggest for me to put in my hospital bag for baby, myself and my partner? Also what should I do to best support myself for the c-section as well as the recovery

I follow ‘csectionuk’ on insta and have found some of their tips really helpful for the recovery stage. I’m not there yet, but it’s always good to be as informed as possible.

Chewing gum to kick start your digestive system and high-waist underwear for postpartum (got mine on Amazon) - they are kind of ‘tummy control’ and really helps having some pressure there! Also don’t let the painkillers give you a false sense of security - if you over do it, it’ll hurt. Plenty of rest and you’ll be fine. And let your partner do the all the nappy changes the first few days if possible 💛

Oh also… lots of snacks in your bedside table drawer and a big water bottle so you don’t have to get up too often
