Night feeds

This is a question for the mums of non sleepers! If your baby sleeps through the night, keep scrolling 🤣
So, exclusively breastfed 20w boy, wakes up every 2 hours, I feed him and he goes back to sleep peacefully.
He did his first wake up just now, 2hs since he fell asleep, 2:40 since last feed. I shushed him and he went back to sleep. IS THIS LEGAL? Am I being awful?
He is 8kg, almost 90th centile, he is doing great. Can I actually space out night feeds? I feel guilty as hell 😅

My boy is also 20w and EBF. He gets fed every 4/4.5hrs during the day and sometimes will sleep even 5hrs at night so do not be scared to space out night feeds. Just makes sure he gets enough before bed to keep him asleep for as long as possible

Also he is going thru sleep regression and is up every 2hrs at night but i dont feed him, just lull him back to sleep

My baby is 19 weeks and also EBF, never been a great sleeper (used to be hourly until the last 6-8 weeks!!) Started to get longer stretches at the start of the night now (usually 3-4, has done 5/6 once or twice!) and then 1.5-2 hrs after that. I’ll always feed on the first wake, then the other wakes after that I’ll see if I can shh/stroke her chest/settle with dummy, if it doesn’t work or she wakes shortly after (like 30-45 mins) I’ll feed her again. Definitely not illegal/awful, enjoy the sleep Mumma! I still feed 2-3 hourly in the day too xx

See my boy is 18w and he wakes during the night. Ik hes not hungry and sometimes a cuddle doesnt do so i try giving him water just to see whether its because his mouths dry and that tends to work

I've just finished reading this section on Hannah Love's book and she actually uses a similar method to progressively stop feeding overnight. Apparently, babies automatically adjust and feed more during the day.
My little boy tends to have 4/5 hours from his bedtime feed, then 3 hours and then every 1.5h until 7ish and he is 19 weeks nearly 8 kg and definitely not a good sleeper if I'm reading a sleep training book 🤣

Intimacy

How often do you and your partner have sex after having a baby? Specially if your baby is coming up to 1?

Want to give up baby

I don't think I can do this anymore. 7 month old, always grouchy, sleep is shit, don't feel any love for her. Nothing ever seems to make her content. I've been surviving on 3 hours of broken sleep a night since she was born. No support around. Feel like she'll be better off with a family that actually want her.

What would you do? (theoretical)

Your baby hasn’t slept for hours and hours and is clearly overtired. You’ve been trying to console them for so long you didn’t notice you’re overdue to change their nappy, and the whole yellow line has turned blue from urine. As you notice this, they fall asleep. Not a deep sleep, but asleep nonetheless. As you put them in their crib you notice their fontanelle has sunk about half a cm. You know if you change their nappy there’s a high chance it will wake them up, and they have previously refused feeds from exhaustion before. The nappy is pretty full but you don’t know what’s inside. There’s a chance you can only manage ONE of the following for the next few hours. WWYD?

Crying during feeds

Has anyone had any issues with their little one crying during feeds? My little boy is 7 weeks, and for the past 4 days or so, he’s started to scream cry mid feed - like he’s suddenly in pain. He’s always suffered a bit with gas and wind, but this has never impacted his feeding before. We’re currently trying infacol but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference. He’s also quite hard to burp so I do suspect some kind of wind, but if anyone else has experienced it and has any advice it would be much appreciated 🫶
