C section

How soon did you go for a walk after having a c section? It’s been 2 weeks and I went for about a 15 min walk and now my scar is really hurting.

Same here- c section 2 weeks ago and went for my first outside walk this morning. In more pain this afternoon but it’s internal and not really on the scar. It’s like gravity or my organs put extra pressure on my uterus / pelvic area and hurt the bruising from the surgery.

Everyone is different I walked 10min to my partners parents 4 days after (not through choice)
And was walking round a shopping center 8 days after my second
If you le scar hurts it’s your body telling you to slow down mumma take it easy x

So I was walking the day after, but I didn’t go out for an actual walk probably until 2 weeks as well but Definitely don’t push yourself but don’t stay too still either, I’d say right now is still a bit early, maybe a walk around the block here and there but not daily…give yourself grace. your body is still healing an immense amount of trauma and 7 layers being cut open and stitched (which could also be at risk of popping open if you’re pushing yourself) so remember that as well.

Walking right away is good to prevent clots. Keep going for walks but listen to your body. If your scar hurts after 15 minutes you went too far. Try 10 minutes and avoid hills if possible.

Trust your body! That’s what my doctor said and worked for me. I knew when it was enough and also when I could walk a bit longer. Try and you’ll know when you had enough.

Gender scan uncertainty

I had my gender scan at 15w GA in WTTW and was told it’s a boy… I don’t know what I’m looking for but my boys scans did not look like this one and my friends due in July and was scanned at 15 weeks and her gender scan looks the same as my previous pregnancies… (I have twin boys and she’s having a boy) so I’m so unsure about the decision on this scan!

I’m probably wishful thinking as I’d love a little girl but thought I’d post for any advice or what you think? I haven’t got any girls to compare

Packing for Induction

What would you suggest to pack more of or extra for an induction? This is my first and I currently have my bag packed for a spontaneous birth but induction is looking more likely. Thanks in advance!

Birth partner

I never see section birth partner is probably very different from a natural birth, birth partner.
Are there any key things that I need my birth partner to know or to do to be able to support me through a gentle c section?

88th Percentile

Hi just needed a bit of advice. Not sure what to do or if I’m panicking for nothing.

I’m just over 33weeks and have started growth scans due to my long term condition. During this scan I was told that my baby is measuring at the 88th percentile? When I’ve been measured by the tape all this time it’s shown to be 50th percentile (I know it’s not accurate).

Anyway the doc said that if it reaches 90th percentile then will be looking to see if I have GD? But when I had my glucose tolerance test at 25weeks it was fine.

I know I’m just hormonal but feeling so guilty and can’t stop crying. I’ve had a rough pregnancy sickness and foodwise and haven’t had that much to eat. The only thing I’ve been able to handle is fruit, ice lollies and coffee frappes (without the cream). Did I induce this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

C-section under general anaesthetic

Im pregnant with my third baby and have a c-section booked in for the 8th of September.

I’ve had two emergency c-sections before and now I’m dreading another one.

I have been researching and you can be put under for a c-section. Has anyone done this and can share their experience please.
