My 14-month-old has recently started having complete meltdowns during mealtimes, and I’m not sure why. She wasn’t like this before—she used to eat pretty much everything, and we never had any issues.
She doesn’t really feed herself yet. She will sometimes eat finger foods on her own, but not things like mashed foods, rice, curry, or similar meals.
For the past few days, she has been crying a lot during meals. The strange thing is that she will still eat the food, but cries throughout the meal. I can’t figure out what’s bothering her.
She has also been constipated for the last couple of days, although she’s drinking water and milk as usual. I’ve been trying to increase her fiber intake with foods like oats, chia seeds, broccoli, and prunes (usually some of these each day).
She is going to nursery 3 days a week.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the constipation be causing the mealtime meltdowns, or is there something else I should be looking into?

My little boy has been going this for a few weeks now. Eating fine then suddenly starts crying. I think it's a mix of constipation / belly ache and also teething because he pulls his ear and holds his face a lot
