My daughter has an umbilical hernia and although all the information available states they don't cause any problems or pain I can't help but feel it is causing some issues. It protrudes a lot some days and it's squelchy. She is refluxy and is still developing her bowels/digestive system (if it isn't the hernia causing issues). Has anyone else's baby had this? If so, did it cause pain? Was it helped by medical intervention? What did you do? Our GP appointment is not until the end of the month!

Hi, our LO is almost 9 weeks old and she has one of these. We’ve had it checked by GP and nurse twice, each time we’re told to keep it dry and it will eventually drop off on its own. Nurse actually swabbed it for infection and came back negative.
It doesn’t seem to be causing her any issues at all and she doesn’t even realise it’s there. If it doesn’t fall off by 12 weeks we will go back but all good for now
