My LO is 8.5 months old and is taking supported steps. She cruises the furniture and, if I hold her hands, she can walk around rooms. How long did it take your LO to go from this to their first independent steps?
Just trying to figure out how long I've got until she can run away from me instead of crawl ππ

Mine did it in a week. Just have lots of space for practice and encourage them.

Max 1 - 2 monthsπ

She won't be running for a bit yet though π
Mine has been walking independently for a couple months, but it begins with just a few steps etc
Even now if my boy wants to get anywhere fast, he drops to all 4's and Crawls as fast as he can π

4 months π he could cruise and take supported steps before he could crawl though. So once he learned to crawl he didn't bother with learning to walk for a little while.

My youngest was taking sided steps with a walker, cruising furniture etc at 7 months. Didnβt walk independently and take his first proper steps until 11 months.
