Longer sleeps? / Crib help

My little girl is 12 weeks tomorrow & her longest sleep stretch is 5 hours, 2nd is 3 or 3.5.. then either wide awake 6am for an hour or so before drifting off again, or 3rd sleep is 1 or 1.5 hours.. & this is next to be in bed or on me ( we co-sleep, i never intended on it )

I have a next to me crib & moses & no success in either.

Even in the day all naps are contact naps & the second i try to transfer her shes crying again.

Im so jealous seeing posts of others sleeping such long stretches! & being able to sleep in a crib!

We have the next to me crib on dads side of the bed so she can’t smell milk (if breastfeeding) as soon as we did that she started sleeping long stretches. We also us the love to dream swaddles. After she falls asleep after her last feed her dad holds her for 10 minutes and then puts her down. I’ve found if I try and put her down she will wake up but if dad does she stays asleep.

Once we got into a good routine of bath time and then a book and a last feed of the night she started sleeping through the night from 4 weeks.

Day time naps we are still working on as she will only contact nap during the day.

She may just be a very good sleeper but I hope some of that may be helpful.

I formula feed but thanks for that tip anyway!

I did want to swaddle but mt rooms so hot like 24 degrees im worried she will over heat so that stresses me out!

& she wont settle or sleep on her dad at all, only me!

Even if shes asleep & i put her in bed & go to the toilet, she wakes up & cries until im laying next to her again.

I dont mind the contact naps but itd be nice if she could do some naps in her moses

& nightime even if we have to co sleep id like longer stretches!

Tried everything that google says & feels a little hopeless!

I’m in the same situation regarding the amount my little boy sleeps at night during the day it pretty much has to be a contact nap but at night he will go in his cot we use a swaddle it’s the only way to keep him asleep in his cot… but just hang in there I know it’s hard to see but she is doing amazing give her another month or two and it should get easier… some of my friends babies only sleep 45mins at a time at night so just stay strong

Pram/Stroller Recommendations

Hi!
We currently have a travel system but the seat part doesn't collapse with the chassis and it's becoming a pain to load into the car and store. Any recommendations on good collapsing prams/strollers? I'm looking for something that's good abroad too! It doesn't necessarily need to be another travel system, just anything really! X

Am I the a**hole?

So our baby is 8 months old, not a great sleeper but I'm not used to waking up every hour/2 hours ever night 😭😂
Basically partner works Monday -Friday 9-3:30 which I understand is still draining, my partner doesn't have to wake up for anything at night as I breastfeed so it's just me that baby will settle for at the moment (I sleep in the same room as baby )
As I don't get much time to myself day or night as baby goes to bed around 6:30pm and I stay with her for the night, sometimes on the weekend I just want an hour or 2 just to relax but my partner says "well I haven't had any time to myself"
But they have from 6:30 until they go to sleep every night plus uninterrupted sleep?!
Am I the a hole for wanting a little time to myself?

AITAH or is he?

Husband slept on sofa last night because I was too tired to be intimate (I had been awake from 5am with our baby who had me up throughout the night). This morning our toddler woke at 5.30am and my husband decided to go to the gym at 6am for two hours before work and woke me up to be with our toddler even though I’ve been up every 1–2hrs with our 6 month old baby. I feel so exhausted, he doesn’t do any of the night wakings with the baby. I feel like he’s prioritising gym over my basic need to sleep and then punishing me when i say im too tired for sex. Am I being dramatic or is this a shitty thing to do?

Do you style your school aged child's hair or just comb/brush it? Not your toddler

I know I send my child to school with her hair styled, but however she looks at the end of the school day is always a mystery. So I wonder are there parents who don't style at all?

also realize this demographic may bring about different answers because we don't all have the same hair or hair needs~

Stranger touched my newborns hand

I was out for a coffee today and an old lady touched my 4 week old baby's hand. I know she was well intentioned & I belive she had a learning disability, but I've been completely freaking out since getting home.

I used wet wipes on his hands when I was at the cafe and put his scratch mittens on so that he couldnt put his hands in his mouth. When we got home I put some hand sanitizer on my hands and the rubbed the excess onto his hands, but before wiping it off with another wet wipe.

I'm so scared that he's going to get sick and I cannot stop myself from spiralling. I know its irrational and that this type of thing happens to lots of babies, but I feel sick with worry right now & can't stop crying. Has anyone else had a similar experience and did things turn out okay?

Hair cut

I have all four boys and they only got there first hair cut at age 1. I’m determined for my last LO to do the same but all the comments I get from family are rude. But I’m standing my ground. With that being said when did you do the first hair cut. Picture attached for tax.
