This behavior is recent. Started when the school gave me a tiny white board to draw on. They gave me a little sign to show him the shows someone spitting with a x through it and the words "no spitting". I might as well crumple it up and shove it up my ass because he cares not. I give him a cloth to clean up his spit and when he is not spitting he is given the task of wiping down tables, windows and counters. I thought that would make him less interested in spitting on everything and then rubbing it.

Idk why but my brain instantly went to chewing gum? Is this something you’ve tried?

Maybe an oral fixation type of toy or gadgety thing? a person on social media I follow has a son with high support needs autism and he literally pulls his teeth out so he’s got this little rubber thing that kinda looks like a whistle attached to a necklace he wears and uses whenever he starts pulling his teeth she reminds him to use that

Some people have success by giving hard candies because they become focused on the sucking action instead of spitting more but it can be a very 50/50 response really
