Night shift partner

Does anyone have a partner who works night shifts? Mine has just started a new job and will be doing some night shifts. We’ve decided that I’ll take baby in the morning and let him sleep until 2pm ish. He’s starting his first night tonight so he slept in this morning and it was a NIGHTMARE. I was desperately trying to keep my baby quiet but she is sooooo loud. She’s very clingy atm too so she just moans and cries whenever I try to do something. I found it impossible to do my usual routine because he was asleep in our room. Anyone who’s partner works night shifts how to you manage it? He woke up and said it’s absolutely fine and he expects there to be noise etc. but I feel so bad and guilty that baby woke him up a lot. Any tips or tricks?

My husband works mixed shifts and has done since before our son was born. When he is on nights, we try and go out for between 9-10. Generally he will do a nap in the car, then we aim to get back around 12 for lunch/when my husband gets up. My husband also uses white noise or ear plugs when he gets in! Xx

Car seat help!! 🙏🙏

(Please ignore the messy car)
We had this car seat fitted yesterday by Halfords but the seat belt is in the way of putting my baby in. The guy who fitted it said it has to be like this so it’s diagonal in the back but I can’t put my baby in from the outside I have to go inside the car and buckle her in.
There must be another way 😩 or some trick to fix the seat belt down easily, put baby in, then put it back out? I need to sort this out asap because she already hates the car seat and she’s especially annoyed at it after daycare so I can’t make it worse 🥲

Breast Feeding

When I was younger, my mom used to explain to me that she didn’t breast-feed because her breasts were really big in this new generation. Is that a thing?
I currently wear a 36 triple D or 36E and I just wanna make sure when I do start breast-feeding that I won’t smother my baby with my breast

Velcro baby temperament

Baby is 2 months old tomorrow and I know she’s still so young and brand new to the world. She’s super sensitive due to her tummy issues so she’s always been a high needs, contact napping, constant holding/rocking/soothing, and co-sleeping baby. I’m a FTM and can’t handle letting her CIO. I love her so much but my back, shoulders, and neck are messed up from always holding her and having to rock her. Did anyone else w a baby w a temperament similar to my daughter’s grow out of it? Or did they grow up to be very sensitive toddlers as well?

Also, anyone have any experience w the Moonboon?

Insomnia in the First Trimester

Hey, I think I have just hit week 7 and I have been really struggling with insomnia over the past 2 weeks. I seem to struggle to go off to sleep and stay asleep for longer than 30 minutes - 1 hour. Some nights I literally get no sleep at all. I just feel so tired, but completely wired. How is everyone else faring?
