Overwhelmed

My baby is 7 months old and i just feel exhausted. I can't keep on top of housework, eating well and I feel like I'm generally just drowning.
Is this normal or does it ever get any easier? Feel a bit scared for the future as people say the first 6 months are when babies are the easiest 😬

Oof girl dont feel embarrassed we have all had our struggles. The mom who eats healthy and works out probably has worse laundry piles lol none of my clothes fit and my house is a disaster but my kids are happy so I'm staying (mostly) positive. Happy to chat if you need to vent 💕

Girl I am right there with you and my guy is 10 months. I'm sure it will get better, at least that's what I keep telling myself! If you ever wanna talk just send me a message 😄

Girl, this is 100% normal. I still don’t eat like I should and this is my third time in a row being postpartum and I definitely have trouble staying on top of the cleaning from my other kids, but I always always always make sure that I have a 40 ounce owala h20 bottle and some snacks near by that are easy to grab, but I do stay hydrated. That is one thing I can give myself credit for because I feel extremely dehydrated if I don’t constantly drink so a water bottle is the best thing for your milk supply and for your own health.

Don't be embarrassed! This is so normal! My apartment was a disaster until my baby was 1yr 🥴 as long as everyone is fed, you're doing fine. If it would help, you can try a TINY weekly to-do list. I.e: Monday wash/dry laundry, Tuesday put laundry away, Wednesday meal plan, Thursday shop... things like that.

It sounds like you're overwhelmed as well (feeling of drowning). If you have family or friends, try asking them to watch baby for a short while so you can have some mommy time! Get a pedi or target run!

Baby 1st bday party / alcohol

Hey all, it’s my baby’s first birthday this weekend and im just having like a gathering in the garden for him! I haven’t even mentioned alcohol to people as I thought it would be obvious that it’s not acceptable to really drink at a baby’s first birthday party!!

Please may I ask people’s thoughts as quite a lot of people have messaged me to ask if they can bring bottles of wine, cans of beer / cider, cans of cocktails!! Am I being harsh not wanting it there??

Labour!

I’m 38 weeks and booked for an induction next week, but really wanted to go into labour naturally before induction anything that’ll actually work ? 😆

Booking scan ☺️

I’ve got my NHS booking scan next week. This may be a silly question, but does my partner need to come? I’m more than happy to go solo as it sounded more of an admin type appointment.

Should I push or not?

I had a growth scan 2 weeks ago (28+6) which showed normal velocity but baby girl was 13%. This scan was triggered by a low fundal height measurement.

I went back in today with RFM (ctg and checks were all normal), and I’d had some spotting on Saturday (post sex). My fundal height was 30cm and I’m 32 weeks tomorrow.

Consultant saw me and referred me for a scan which the ultrasound department have rejected. Should I push for a scan or is this enough reassurance?

Activities with a newborn

What are you all doing with your newborns during the day? I feel guilty as husband has just gone back to work and I’m just about coping with feeding/ burping along with all the pumping I have to do (exclusively pumping). I find that I’m basically glued to the couch all day waiting for naps. I’m worried that I’m not providing my baby any stimulation but it’s just so hard 😫
