How long did it take you to transition from contact napping to napping in a bassinet or crib and how old was the baby.

How did you do it?

Around a month for a solid nap and she was 6 months old. At the start it would last 10 minutes and then I'd have to save the nap by rocking with her. But I just persisted and they gradually got longer and longer in the cot and now she does 2 one hour and a half naps in her cot. X

Kissing babies 😩

(For context my son is in the NICU!)

Yesterday my mother in law kissed our son 😩😩 I was so shocked as I thought everyone knew you don't kiss a new baby let alone one born 3 months early and is in the NICU 😭😭 I did say to her "op, I don't think you're allowed to do that" and she apologised but I didn't want to make a scene or make it awkward as it was just me and her there, but I think she only thinks the no kissing applies to the NICU and not for when we're home aswell 😩

I told my husband but (no offence) as a man he didn't even know about this rule!! I have told him before especially when explaining about the RSV vaccine in pregnancy but baby was born so early I didn't have the chance to get that vaccine 😩

Not sure what I want from this post other than to rant 😩

Sleep in the heat

How are we all getting our babies to sleep at night in this this heat? 2 disturbed nights so far and despite settling to bed earlier fine my baby woke around 30mins ago and still isn’t able to get back to sleep. He’s usually a really good sleeper and I fear we may never see a night of sleep again😢 I don’t really know what to do tonight with him. Honestly had enough of this stupidly hot weather and longing for some cold days and rain!

Sleep 😫

Does anyone else’s little one struggle with sleep or start waking super early? Our little boy used to go to bed around 7.30pm and wake around 6–6.30am at best. But for the last 3–4 weeks he’s been waking anytime between 4.45–5.15am, which is getting pretty exhausting 😩

He’s 12.5 months old — could it be the heat, an age thing/sleep regression?

Night time nappies

I’m looking for tried and tested night time nappies as I’m losing my mind with the overnight leaks 😩
My little boy is now moving into size 3-4 depending on the brand and I feel since we’ve gone up a size, I can’t seem to find a nappy that doesn’t leak. He’s wet through then he struggles to go back to sleep after. Ive tried Tesco and Asda so far. Bonus points for budget friendly!

Play mat/foam tiles worth it??

Baby is 5 months old and able to roll onto his tummy and has started trying to push off and almost army crawl. We have carpet everywhere so am considering getting those padded/foam/grippy mats to facilitate his movement better (either the tile ones or whole ones or not one at all). Is it worth it? how long did you make use of it for? if yes what’s the one you’d recommend and why?

Kendamil pre made

If I only use half the pre made bottle and put the rest in the fridge straight away, what are the guidelines to reheat it etc? It says it can be used within 24hrs but Can you leave it out at room temp after putting it in the fridge or does it have to be warmed and drunk immediately?
