My little girl is 17 months old. We have been practicing sitting on the potty before bath time (have only have a dribble actually go in so farš). She seems to be becoming very aware of when she is having a wee, even with a nappy on.
I am a first time mum and no idea with anything to do with potty training and my health visitor suggested starting at 18 months.
Any tricks and tips? Is she too young?

Commenting so I can hear tips too , Iām in the same situation xx

Ok honestly this is kinda gross but my mum told me to pee in the potty infront of my 18 month old so I tried it and she got so happy started clapping and screaming YEAHHHH as if she was potty training me š¤£I've also been doing no nappy time and putting her on the potty every 5 minutes

Definitely not too young, it's recommended to start sitting them on a potty as soon as they can sit basically now š¤Æ
Some people say once you leave nappies to never go back, but for us that doesn't work. My son would sit on the potty twice a day for a couple of weeks (first thing in the morning and before the bath) and we would get a wee most times. Then after he was consistently weeing those times, and grabbing the front of his nappy or telling us he was doing a wee or poo, we decided to have some nappy free time at home. So naked/ bare bottom at home with a potty right there. And watched him like a hawk š wr had no accidents/wees on the floor as he was really used to going in the potty by this time. Then after a couple of days we caught a poo in the potty, and the next day another one. This week we've had lots of wees and poos in the potty, but still use a nappy out of the house. We offer potty before leaving the house, and take a travel one with us, but he's not consistent with using it yet.

Cont:
He travels for childcare 45 minutes each way on a road that's not possible to stop on most of the way, so to avoid accidents in the car and upsetting him, we use a nappy in the car.
