First period after birth

I’ve come on my first period since having my son. I know the first one is usually heavier and lasts longer but the amount of blood I’ve been losing in the last 6 days is starting to concern me. My normal periods are 5 days max with only two heavy ish days. This period has been 6 days and I’ve been going through a super tampon and pad every couple of hours. I didn’t have this with my first child, should I be getting concerned?

Ive had a heavier period to usual, before id have 3-4 days with maybe 1 heavy day. This time ive had 5 days of very heavy and its finally settling to my normal flow. Unless youre soaking through more than a pad an hour, or passing large clots you should be fine. Just make sure youre getting enough iron. And if youre really concerned call GP or 111. Also just be careful of using tampons, I dont know how far pp you are, but they increase risk of infection if used too soon x

Trying not to compare

Went out today to take advantage of air con, with a new friend and her baby. Can’t help but feel that my LO is so difficult and fussy in comparison to hers and that I felt on edge trying to keep my baby quiet and settled whilst we were out. My two month old baby is a few weeks younger so maybe that makes a difference. Trying my best not to compare but can’t help but feel I’m doing something wrong…

Glucose Test

Glucose test was not my friend.. failed the one hour and projectile vomited all over myself an hour into the three hour test while getting my blood drawn.. 🥲 pretty sure some got on the nurse. So embarrassing. On the bright side, they have me checking my glucose 4 times a day for two weeks with a finger prick test. It’s honestly not bad at all. How was everyone else’s experience?

Weight gain during first trimester

Iam 18weeks pregnant and gained like around 15 pounds so far . Is it very uncommon? Because my OB told me to watch my weight to avoid complications. How much weight have you gained since your pregnancy

Confused and sad

I’m 37 + 5 today and just came back from an ultrasound appointment at a different location for my obgyn and was told that my baby is only 5 pounds and 8 ounces and if they have talked to me at all about my babies weight and they have not. I’ve always asked every ultrasound appointment if everything looks good and if he looks healthy and on track and have always been told everything looks great and now I’m being told his weight is very low. I’m just so confused and sad and don’t know what’s going on anymore at this point. I’m never told anything every appointment and when I ask I’m always told everything is perfectly fine. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve been active and drink lots of water and i don’t smoke or drink or have before I got pregnant and take my vitamins but I will admit I’ve eaten a lot of fast food. Has anyone experienced the same?
