Gifts age guide

Would you be offended if your 5 year old received a birthday present marked 3+. I have all these unopened games at home from presents we have received. Husband says absolutely not, he is buying new ones.

They seem more at the right level developmentally. A 3 year old would require quite a bit of support.

3+ means from three not upto 3, doesnt mean it wont be fun for a 5 year old.

I mean i wouldnt be offended if it something 5 year olds find appeasing. 3+ means over the age of 3 so should be appropriate depending on what it is.

Doesn’t phase me at all. Kids have no idea what’s age appropriate, take your child into the toy shop and see what they go for this will happen all their lives lol. Or go to a soft play and see a 6yo sitting in the baby area. So what...

Think it depends who it’s for as different regifting something to a classmate than family. Also depends what it is ie a game of hungry hipppos or something that’s clearly aimed at preschoolers. If it’s a classmate as a parent I wouldn’t be offended.

It's 3+ not 18 months +
Why is it so offensive? I imagine your child would love them!

Its 3+, as in suitable for children over 3 years not under. Doesn't mean it is only for 3 year olds. Like shape sorters for example are usually around 12months+ but that doesnt mean all children will be sorting shapes at 12 months in fact my 3 year old still loves his shape sorters but they have to put a minimum age for safety

Does he not know what the + means?

I agree with you, it can be perfectly fine but it depends on the toy. Some toys take longer to outgrow and the age in the box is just guidance.

Sometimes they just learn to play with the same toy on a different way. Sometimes they keep liking the toy because it is their favourite character.

I get more annoyed when the toys are way beyond their abilities. Like a +12 Lego for a toddler, mine loved Lego and at 3 could build models marked for +6,+7 and still loved duplo, which are for under 3, but for a +12 model it turned into a family activity.

Am I being sensitive or would this also upset you?

I asked my husband if he liked my handmade bracelets and he said "They're okay." I asked what that means and he said "If I saw them I'd just think 'Oh, neat' then move on." Am I being too sensitive for being really upset over that? I just feel like, where is the support? I thought we were supposed to be our spouse's first fan, cheering on their passions? For more context I'm an artist, my bracelets are made of recycled materials that I collect and process myself and are woven in a pattern unique to my work, not that it would make it any better but this is not a hobby for me it's my life work and a small part of a bigger project. Since I work from my home I also care for our children while my husband goes to a 9-5 job and that also has me feeling a type of way about his feedback, I cheer him on at his job and support him where I can but when it comes to my work that's what I get? It's obviously a soft spot for me, but let me know if I'm just sensitive here or if it's actually something you'd be upset by too.

Not enjoying it....

Is anyone else still not enjoying this?

Our baby is 9weeks and its nit getting easier.... ive had the worse night.

Just so fed up now, all he does is moan and cry majority of the day. I only have my parents for help, which they do help alot.

But I am really angry all the time arguing with my husband or moaning at him every day, multiple times a day

Im just so unhappy. Everyone keeps saying its gonna get better, when?!

I already have a 2yr old and when hes not at nursery and I have them both it is absolute chaos. Between the pair of them they set each other off with screaming.

I just want it to get better

Is a wife responsible for her husband's weight gain?

If your husband is eating a bunch of unhealthy food late night then complains about his weight gain and you try having a conversation about his late night eating letting him know he should stop eating at least at 10pm (he has a late shift) but he keeps doing it are you still responsible because he's your husband? I'm currently losing weight I stopped eating after 7pm and i stay in a calorie deficit and I drink 1 gallon of water per day and it made a big difference. We also work out together but he doesn't show up to all the workouts but I still stick to it. I feel bad for him 🫤 idk what to do

Why does divorce come to my mind..

Here’s a little breakdown of my life.

3 years with my partner.
1.5 years married
I’m 9 months pregnant
He has a disability that affects his whole body. - stress gives him flareups and can even make him bed ridden.
1.5 years into us dating his health hit him so hard he was bed ridden for 3/4 of a year which only brought out his anger more because of the amount of pain.

He’s been used to watching porn to cope since 7 years before meeting me because of a fucked up upbringing.

He gets mad very easily, cusses me out, snaps. Makes me feel like total fucking shit. Sorry for my language.

I never wanted to have a family that would split. I always wanted my kids to have a stable family, with a loving husband and father.

I can be going into labour any minute and each day our relationship just gets worse.

Is this how pregnant hormones fuck you up mentally? Make you argue. Make you wanna snap and just wanna give everything up?

At times I wish I was never pregnant. And I feel like slapping myself every time I think like that because I love my little one that i still haven’t met yet…

Can someone give me a bit of clarity please..
