First birthdays

What did you all do for your babies first birthday? My boy will be 1 in November and I’ll be back at work full time and it’ll be chaos. (Operations management wooo hahah) it’s gonna be chaos trying to set new routines and all that so I kinda wanna get some ideas in my head so I don’t panic around that time!
Fanchoooo 😘

I did a soft play little party but honestly my LO wasn't that fussed so if I could do it again I'd just keep it more simple with a smash cake and a family get together X

My little girl is 1 on the 8th July (a Wednesday). We are going to Fishers Farm for the day with a close friend and their children. And then on the Saturday after her birthday we are having an open house at home. We have a hot tub so that will be open and we'll have toys in the garden. Lots of food. Family and friends around. That way if she needs a nap she can just go up to bed for a bit. People can come and go as they please. I wasn't going to spend a fortune on a hall and things like soft play when she'll be happy at home surrounded people who love her. Although I've spent a small fortune for a house party as well 🤣

For his actual birthday we took him on holiday to Corfu and spent the day on the beach but the week before we did a teddy bear picnic in the park with friends and family

My family went to Austin Zoo. It was cute and small. He loved looking at the big kitties (he yelled kitties at them). Then went back to home to have him pick his pokemon Kanto (Gen 1) starter (plushies of Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander *he picked Bulbasaur*) with a pokemon cake. We will have him pick (Gen 2) Johto starters this bitthday, maybe a car cake this year. Lol

We had a frog themed party for my little girl at home. No sense spending a bunch of money when she wont remember. We had fun and she was excited.

Do you think having a home birth is inconsiderate if you leave in an apartment?

Because of how loud you’ll be, it’s a long journey, walls are thin already can hear everything now. (Not my situation, saw it elsewhere and never thought about this situation)

Numbness

Hi pretty mommas, I had an emergency C section 5 weeks ago. My belly is bit numb in some areas and can’t feel anything. Did anyone else experience this? Because I am concerned now. Xx

Waters?

I’d just been for a wee and I felt a click type of feeling my knickers were wet. Put a pad in and they are a little wet I keep feeling like I’m trickling but questioning myself 100%

Waters breaking

I’m really worried about my waters breaking during the night in bed and ruining my mattress (sounds so stupid I know😂) but how can i help this not happening as I feel sleeping on a towel might not be enough?? And ideas of what others used and it worked?

FTM in need of advice

Hello ladies, I’m 27w5d today and yesterday I noticed less/ softer movement than usual. Just for my own record, I had been documenting his movements pretty consistently but then I stopped for a few days. I’ve started documenting his movements consistently again today and it still feels a bit less/ softer than what it’s often been in the past. I have a posterior placenta so usually I can feel him roll or kick fairly well and often. I’m not sure if he’s just in a different position than usual or if it’s just first time jitters getting to me or if there’s actually reason to be concerned.

Please share any thoughts or suggestions. ❤️
