Numbness

Hi pretty mommas, I had an emergency C section 5 weeks ago. My belly is bit numb in some areas and can’t feel anything. Did anyone else experience this? Because I am concerned now. Xx

Pretty normal. I was completely numb on my lower stomach, 6 months later I’m just starting to get some feeling back

It’s really important you help the sensation come back. Brush different things across it, the towel when you get out of the shower, a makeup brush, a cloth etc. The sensation will likely come back with time mine started numb and has gradually come back over the course of 10 weeks x

I guess everyone is different but I’m 20 months post C-section and still completely numb. I’ve been to the GP about this and they said I’ll never get the feeling back. I do massage and Pilates to try and get some feeling back but it’s never returned to any kind of normal.

Hey I also had emergency c-section with my son and experienced this. I am completely feeling now at 5 months and the one thing that helped me was about 2 months pp I started massaging the area. Consistent touch helps bring back feeling where you have gone numb especially the scar area! I hope this helps and works for you too! Start off with light massages and gradually increase the pressure you put when massage only when you feel ready. I still do this everyday just to help my scar and reduce any swelling x

Ive had 2 csections. 1 3.5 years ago and another almost 15 months ago. I still have a slight numbness there and was told its common to have numbness years later still due to the surgery. X

16.5 months in and still have a numb patch just below my belly button. My mums friend had her csection 24 years ago and still has a numb patch

Yes I am 6 weeks and still have areas that are numb. I am going to see pelvic floor therapist this week to see if there’s any exercises/massages that can be done to help with it. I can share info with you if you’d like

I'm a year pp my belly is fine but I have numbness in my right leg and foot. Been to the doctors they either dont care or don't know what to do. Clearly to me is an issue with nerves. Frustrating.

Avatar

Totally normal I think as it can take the nerve endings in your skin a while to regenerate but worth mentioning at your 6 week check up just to be sure. I had it for a couple of months with my c section but had it for well over a year after my knee surgery - really weird trying to shave your knee with numbness in half of it!x

Am I overreacting???

My LO's 2nd birthday was yesterday. We kept it small with immediate family and a few friends. A couple of people didn't show, but overall it was a great turnout, and my daughter had the best time.

After the party, my MIL called to tell us how wonderful everything was—the location, the party, how much LO enjoyed herself—and that we should be proud. It was so thoughtful.

Then my mom's only comment was: “That's why we eventually stopped doing birthday parties for you guys. No one shows up, and it's expensive."

No "she looked so happy" or "that was fun". Just negativity.

I'm honestly hurt. Why focus on who *didn't* come, instead of celebrating a happy little 2-year-old who was surrounded by people who love her? My daughter won't remember how many people were there, but I'll always want to celebrate her.

So yeah, all of that to ask if I’m overreacting for being upset with my mom and not speaking to her atm.

Do you think having a home birth is inconsiderate if you leave in an apartment?

Because of how loud you’ll be, it’s a long journey, walls are thin already can hear everything now. (Not my situation, saw it elsewhere and never thought about this situation)

Waters?

I’d just been for a wee and I felt a click type of feeling my knickers were wet. Put a pad in and they are a little wet I keep feeling like I’m trickling but questioning myself 100%
