has anyone got any top tips or recommendations on what to/what not to buy in preparation for weaning?

I wouldn’t waste money on things like baby blenders etc they don’t do anything different than ones you might already have. I found with my first 2 things that were really useful was a veg steamer and vacuum sealer! Got both on Amazon for around £30 each.
We’re starting this weekend as my little girl is 6m on Sunday. My oldest is over 2.5 now and we still use the vacuum sealer, everything we make we make extra of, portion it, seal it and put it in the freezer. To reheat just put it in hot water, so handy to have in when you still want to give them something homemade but don’t have the time!

Suction bowls or plates and wipe clean bibs with are good and small soft tipped spoons are good basics to have 😊 oh and little tubs for using/ saving small portions of things
