Libido loss during breastfeeding

Has anyone else experienced loss of libido while breastfeeding? I’m 8 months pp, not feeling it at all and I feel so sorry for my hubby 😣 how did everyone get through it? It’s also not helpful that when we’ve tried it hurts down there and just fully getting the ick right now towards anything like that and towards my husband 😫 I just want to feel like myself again 💔

Health visitor

My health visitor told me I look tired, I often don’t get to sleep until 1am (newborn & toddler) then wake 3ish,6ish and I’m officially up all day with my toddler from 7am sometimes earlier. So obviously I am very tired. However when I explained he went “should’ve said I would’ve came over to give you a few hours sleep” was he taking the piss out of me? 🤣🙈

Slept through 😭

Me and baby boy slept through his alarm to eat, he now hasn't eaten in 5 and a half hours (feeding now) I feel awful 🥲 he is above his birthweight but only 13 days old. I feel so guilty that I slept through 😔

Does language matter?

So, I notice 🥜 mums saying things like, "Breastfeeding is great" and "Two under two is easy."

This can be quite dismissive of others' experiences because it suggests that it’s a universal truth and disregards those who have a harder time.

It feels more tactile to say, "I found breastfeeding great..." or "I found two under two easy..." while knowing that’s not everyone’s experience.

Do you think this nuance of language matters, or is it just pedantry?

Car recommendations

Hiya I have a little girl (3) and expecting twins so will need to fit 3 car seats. How do people do it? Do I need a wider car haha?

Pram Walks

My little girl is over 6 weeks old and doesn’t really enjoy going in her pram for too long. Her max. limit is 20mins before she starts crying. I’ve been trying to take her on daily walks just to get her used to it, but have never successfully managed to cross the 20mins limit when I have to take her home to feed/ comfort. I’ve tried putting her in the pram after a feed, or when she’s really sleepy and even when she’s awake, but she never really falls asleep in it no matter when I take her, always awake & looks around and then gets antsy around 20mins mark time. She’s better with car seats and loves the carrier, just not the pram!

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on what can I do to make her last longer in the pram?

The bathroom math is actually pretty simple:

Dad + daughter = women's restroom Mom + daughter = women's restroom
Dad + son = men's restroom
Mom + son = women's restroom

There. We solved it.
