Episiotomy still not healed

I had my gp 6 week check last week and she mentioned that my episiotomy had a raw patch and prescribed me some moisturing cleanser to use in the shower. Ive had a look for the first time today and it looks clean and fine, but the tissue is all raised. It's not been painful, just tender and almost scratchy? Ive always thought it was a pinched hair.

Has anyone else had an episiotomy - and if yes how long did it take to heal? Im 7 weeks out not and I really had thought id be healed by now.

I had an episiotomy with my son and was already having sex 5.5weeks later so sometime before 5.5weeks, i was completely pain free like 1.5weeks pp though so it seems like i just heal weirdly fast down there x

I’m 6 and a half weeks postpartum, had an episiotomy and forceps and I don’t feel anywhere near healed! I can tell the wound has closed but the skin is still sore and feels bruised. I get sharp stabbing pains down there too! I haven’t had my check yet so definitely going to mention all of this.

Postpartum resentment towards family and friends

I’m a FTM and well over a year postpartum but I still struggle to this day letting go of resentment I built PP toward family members and friends. I went through a very difficult PP those first at least 5 months and when I needed support most, my brain was paying very close attention to who showed up and who didn’t. I was drowning and calling out for help, everyone knew how much I was struggling yet no one showed up for me or they only did once. I’m new to the UK so I have very little friends here(if any) and the only family I have is my husbands. I’ve recently found out some of these said friends/family members that didn’t ever help me are having their first babies and I’m expected by them and others around us to help with the baby and the mum specially during PP. I just cannot bring myself to help them knowing they never helped me(not even texted me to make sure I was ok) when I needed it. Any kind friendly advice to let go of the resentment I’ve held in my heart towards these people since I gave birth? Any one else experienced this?

When did your baby first start crawling?

I’m a first time mum, don’t get me wrong, understand that all babies are different, but I would just like some reassurance.
My baby is 8 months old, we’ve had no interest in crawling, pulling self up, walking along furniture or going from tummy to sitting or vice versa.
I’m in a group with other babies the same age, and everyone’s babies seem to be doing all these things…
I wasn’t worried until I read what other babies were doing at this age, and it seems like a lot compared to what my baba can do.
I just don’t want to fail her. Please let me know if your baby was “late” or took a while to reach milestones.
Thanks in advance xx

Anyone else feel like their belly skin is literally on fire? 😭

I’m 33 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I am STRUGGLING.

I am so much bigger this pregnancy than I was with my first. My belly is absolutely exploding with stretch marks and the itching is unreal. I feel like I’ve scratched away all the skin I have left. I’m moisturizing constantly and nothing seems to help.

But now there’s something else that’s worrying me. For a couple of weeks after my C-section with my first, I remember the area above my incision feeling like it was burning. My skin hurt to touch and I was told it was related to the muscles/healing process.

The last little while I’ve started feeling something very similar again, except I’m still pregnant. The skin on my lower abdomen, above my old C-section scar, feels numb but also burns at the same time. It’s hard to explain. The closest thing I can compare it to is what I imagine frostbite would feel like. It’s constant and becoming almost unbearable.

Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy, especially after a previous C-section? Is it nerve pain? Stretching? Scar tissue?

I honestly feel sad because mentally I don’t feel “done” with this pregnancy yet, but physically I want out of my own skin. Between the itching and this burning sensation, I feel like I’m going crazy.

Would love to hear if anyone else has gone through this. ❤️

How often does your baby cry?

I know babies cry but I don’t know what’s a normal amount. My first LG cried 24/7 with colic and this time round my LG cries a few hours a day. I don’t know what’s wrong with her if she’s fed, changed, burped and slept she will sometimes be really upset and then randomly other times she will be really settled.
She had her tongue tie done a week ago as I thought she was previously struggling with trapped gas (it has improved loads), but I don’t know if there is something else I’m missing or if this is just normal for babies not to be content when they’re awake?
