Do you like men? Like, actually like them?

Not “I love my husband” or “I love my boyfriend.”

I mean, do you genuinely enjoy men as a group? Their company, their conversations, the way they think?

Or do you mostly like your man (if you have one), while finding yourself exhausted by men in general?

Sometimes I wonder how many of us love a man rather than actually liking men.

If romance, sex and relationships were taken out of the equation, would you choose to spend time with men over women?

I’m genuinely curious.

It would be so much better IF sex was always removed ,sadly it’s always there lingering, making opposite sex friendships quite difficult though possible.

I genuinely like men BUT specifically the men I’m friends with. Which I suppose falls sort of into the same category as liking your own man. I’ve always got along with males more despite my friend groups growing up being heavily girl dominant. My dungeons and dragons pals are all guys and I’m the only girl.
But a lot of men outside of that sort of category are just euck 🫠😂

I love female company 😭😭😭😭 honestly couldn't live without it

Growing up I was always friends with more boys in school than other girls, my closest friends have always been guys.

But men as a whole? Different question there I think.

I have few male friends and they are nice as random friends. If my husband dies one day I play on having no romantic relationships or maybe with a woman. 100% of my male friends are absolute shit partners

I always had a group of guy friends. I got along better with them. No drama, always joking around, being stupid, and they always had my back. No one fucked with me and if they did I always had back up lol.
Girls were hard to get along with.

I genuinely believe 80% of men are trash. Maybe more.

I like some men, I have male friends they are cool. I value their company and their insights. They have to share similar overall world views to me though lol. Men in general no, I dont like them very much.

Going on Maternity leave and funded childcare hours

Hi all!
I have seen many posts in the group about going on mat leave, and I thought about sharing a piece of information in case someone doesn’t know.
The entitlement of the funded childcare hours will depend upon when we return from maternity leave: government funded hours starts on the official terms (September for autumn, January for Spring, and April for Summer). Based on my research the earliest we can apply would be for September’s term and if we want to have the funded hours from then, we need to go back to work on or before 30/09/2027. So if you leave to go on maternity leave in October and take the full year off, returning only on October/2027, you will become entitled to the funded hours only from January 2028.
I know not everyone can or need access to the funded hours, but for those who do I know it can mean a massive strain in our finances not having it.
I don’t know much beyond that, I’m not a specialist, but I’ve learned searching on Nugget, best start in life, and of course some AI help.

SHOULD you help pay the mortgage?

POV: you meet a man who owns a home, you and your child move in with him after some time, he does not want you to pay the mortgage or bills despite offering to do so. He would be paying the mortgage whether you lived there or not. Eventually it’s agreed upon that you pay for the groceries (you insisted on some kind of contribution).

Years later, you pay for groceries, internet, Netflix, phone bills, everything for the kids, playgroups, school stuff, clothing etc. alongside your own personal car payments (loan, fuel, registration etc). You help to pay for some of the bills where possible.

You also become a SAHM to a new baby and lose your work hours because of it but you continue paying for everything you were paying for despite the price of everything going up while your pay has gone down so essentially ALL of your money goes on these things. He works full-time. He also splurged on a car loan a little while ago (we already have 2 cars) so he pays $600 a FORTNIGHT for his recent one, so we have 3 cars.

The man eventually starts saying you don’t contribute and that he has to pay the bills and mortgage on his own. Saying you never have any money but when you explain WHY you don’t, he doesn’t get it.

Your full time job consists of unpaid cleaning, cooking, baby sitting, making lunches, doing school runs & playgroups.

Should you also start paying the mortgage?

If you do start paying the mortgage, should he then go you halves in groceries, internet, Netflix, everything to do with the kids?

Give me your thoughts and opinions.

Am I the only 1 who sometimes forgets about this app?

As much as I want to make friends I find it so hard. That from time to time I forget this app just because it’s been a hit and miss with it. I’ve connected with some cool people but then there’s the mean girls I don’t have time for that. I’m grown and I can’t sit on my phone all day. Life always happens and I do get super busy at times but doesn’t mean I’m not a good friend or wanting a friendship. Anyone else have this problem? Or if you can understand and feel the same let’s connect? I do want the friendship just not the drama of I don’t text back right away 😂

Contraception

Hey! I’m currently 6 weeks postpartum. I originally declined contraception as I haven’t been on it for 2 years before pregnancy and my partner was debating a vasectomy. He’s now changed his mind which means I’m going to have to reconsider contraception :/ as we definitely do not want anymore babies. I originally stopped taking contraception as I have tried the pill, the implant and IUD. All have messed with my periods and made them really irregular, longer bleeding etc and affected my intimacy with my partner which, after waiting so long for postpartum bleeding to stop, I don’t want to have to deal with again! I guess my question is which contraception have you guys used which least affected your periods??
