So I need some help from ladies with baby daddies/husbands.
I’ve been basically being the only one raising our son for the last 2 years..(breakdown: when he was born he would come and see him but not a lot & so it would let me get stuff done.)when it comes to something our son needs he just says I don’t know if he ever needs anything and that it’s moved around. Mind you , I do move stuff but our son’s stuff is in an open spot and very visible.. I’ve sat down and talked to him about feeling stressed and having to worry about his diapers wipes and everything but he tells me I don’t tell him if he needs anything. If I’m wrong call me out but do I have to update him on what our son needs all the time???.
I’ve even talked to him about me being stressed out and not doing ok as my anger and stress tend to team up bad and I get very very frustrated and blow up sometimes(rather it’s yelling or falling down crying non stop..)
I get told it’s joys of being a parent & a toddler shouldn’t do this much to me( as in effect me that bad with his actions)and that I should get help.
I put myself on Zoloft but that’s not the point.
He gives our son trouble if he does anything negative towards me like hitting or yelling , etc and even on good days he’ll play here and there and sometimes we can have really good times all together!!!
I wish he would just be more present instead of being glued to the phone while watching him and be more vocal and THERE instead of just being main discipline & not being fully there. Mind you he does work 10 n half hour shifts and I am beyond grateful but nothing is being provided from him for our son. I got to get him to buy diapers ONCE.
I found our son in the kitchen and he climbed the gate. His father was on his phone and didn’t have a clue!! who’s wrong here and how can this be fixed after so much talks..
We’ve been together almost 5 years now and he’s someone I’m truly in love with but doesn’t seem to care about being present sometimes and to be honest , making us a first priority which hurts.
I just want my family to work.

I had to take my husband to couples counseling and threaten to leave before it sunk in I would try a conversation again and bring up couples counseling let him know your serious and feel like your doing it alone and take it from there

This man is the proper definition of what red frags means, and the saddest part for me was you justifying his awful actions (He gives our son trouble/but sometimes we can have really good times | I wish he would be more present but he’s not being there for him/Oh but he works 10h)
Beyond grateful for what are you??? Just to provide food it’s not acceptable for paying the price of him giving childhood traumas for you son, and childhood trauma SUCKS.
I absolutely would never accept a man treat like shit and my son just watching it all, kids can feel everything!!!!!
I feel really sad for your son because no kids deserve to have a shit father figure in their life!
