Heyy! Is anyone else struggling with hormonal acne!? I swear my skin has never been this bad not even when I went through puberty! It started maybe when I was 5 months pregnant and it has gotten gradually worse! I don’t know what to do. I have tried all kinds of creams and ointments, I even resorted to using sudocream!!
I called the GP and a very polite man told me my hormones will balance themselves out in time and to think about having a hormonal coil. Which is something I’m open too, but I have to go to a clinic for this and when I called the one they suggested they told me this wasn’t the right one. Which felt embarrassing and now I’m demotivated to call the GP again and I keep praying for my skin to get better and my baby weight to drop off after 10 months postpartum and I still look pregnant!
Sorry that got a little ranty ! I just am struggling with how I look so long after giving birth!

Postpartum acne is a common, temporary skin condition caused by sudden drops in estrogen and progesterone after childbirth, which leaves androgens to trigger excess oil (sebum) production. It typically resolves within two to six months but can linger longer for those who are breastfeeding.

Salicylic Acid: Generally considered safe in low concentrations (up to 2%) for topical use while breastfeeding.
Thank you! I will try this, I stopped breastfeeding around 3 months though so it just has been over a year of bad skin
