39+5 days pregnant and the baby’s father has blocked me everywhere, even on phone. He has abandoned the pregnancy twice, written awful messages including narrative changing, false accusations and name calling, so naturally he is not my favourite person, however I did want to inform him once his child is born. His enabling family has also blocked me.
I have been respectful and kind throughout this abandonment but set clear boundaries around consistency and emotional safety for obvious reasons.
For me and my moral and values, I want let him know of his child’s arrival. I want to be able to look my child in the eye years from now and say that I did everything I could, I did myself proud and him blocking me everywhere has taken that away from me.
In this instance, would you

Leave it alone. My BD played no part in my pregnancy, didn’t know when our son was born and when he found out didn’t ask me if I needed help with anything or how we were doing. If he wants to reach out, he will. Remember how he has treated you throughout all this. Do you want your child around that? Now if you’re going for child support different story but just to chat, leave it alone. I opened the door twice and my BD still doesn’t acknowledge that our son is here and wants to talk about everything else but what the conversation needs to be. Not doing it again until I know there is a change.

First I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, especially while pregnant.
Personally I would leave it alone. Everyone seems to not want to be involved, so you have done everything you can do.

Im so sorry. I learned the hard way we can’t control others.. it’s your life to make any decision you want but I suggest you leave him in the dust where he wants to be left at.
False accusations and narratives sounds like my ex and their family. People like that usually don’t change their behaviors over time. It doesn’t change. It’s been 6 years later and there’s a 3rd pending court date. Only difference is, they’re in my daughter’s life trying to fight to take custody away from me because they feel they should raise her.
So based off my experiences. He might come back around or the family would. Make sure you screenshot and save everything in a file of everything he says and does to you just in case you need proof for anything.
For some reason, dads these days disappear and then come back with a lawyer to be in the picture and you just never know how it’ll go … best of luck to you. Just protect yourself emotionally and your baby. Be with people who actually support you

Sounds like he did you a favor you dont want that treatment in your childs life.. leave it alone. Im sorry youre going through this though 🥺😭 you got this!! Focus on you and your babys peace and safety
