Hi mamas 💕 I wanted to ask if any of you have experienced this with your baby. My baby recently fell off the bed, and I’m feeling very worried. He cried right away, calmed down, and has been acting normal, but I would love to hear from other moms who have gone through something similar. Thank you 🤍

My son didn’t fall off the bed but his little rocker unlatched and he hit the title floor hard he cried and calmed down but we took him to the er right away his dad was so upset about it cause it happened on his watch but he was totally okay the dr said nothing to worry about but it definitely is scary but babies are resilient from what I keep hearing lol

How high was the bed?

Welcome to the parenthood initation lol! As long as baby cried immediately and is acting normal, it’s okay it’s happens!

Yes I did my son cried it depends on how your baby fell if they hit their head or mouth you should keep them away for 30 minutes because you don’t want their adrenaline to hit their head

This happened to my baby at 6 months, this is how he let us know he was mobile. He cried and calmed down as soon as his dad picked him up and he has been fine ever since. He is 7 months today

Take him to the ER as precaution

My baby fell off at 5 days old and omg I was devastated. I called 911 and they came to make sure she was okay, we had a pediatrician appointment later that day. I would definitely let someone check baby out for your peace of mind.

Always take your baby in to the doctor to have them double check everything. You said he cried right away so it doesnt seem like anything to be scared about but always take him in to be safe

Omg I had this happen to me today and felt absolutely terrible! So we aren’t alone! My baby fell off of the couch and cried for a min and then was totally fine, acting normal and no bumps so I didn’t take her in anywhere

This happened to me ! He fell off and got caught by a pillow ( thankfully ) but still cried bc of the scare . I stayed calm and comforted him , he stopped crying and then we went about our day .
He continues to try to push his limits daily and sometimes it feels like I’m always on the brink of disaster . It’s important to be vigilant bc it’s always in that one moment that you take a second to breathe that chaos ensues . Good luck mama 💗

My 1st baby is 12 months and he has fallen of the bed so many times! The very first time I was worried! He has also dropped the phone on him, I have dropped the phone on him! I would say if they are acting different from the norm then yes! But it is normal in my personal life+

My baby fell off the bed once and I was so scared, but my mom is a doctor and she said as long as she's acting normally then she'll be alright. Try not to beat yourself up about it, these things happen.

This happened with my now six year old, and he’s perfect! I would call his doctor and let them know so it’s documented, and watch for a sunken spot or swelling!

Mine has rolled off our low bed and our couch which is actually higher than the bed. She’s fast!

As long as he’s acting normally and not overly sleepy or listless and eating normally don’t worry too much and just take it as a lesson learned. If he seems off, take him to the emergency room but it depends on how he fell too.

Was it on carpet or hard wood? From how high? How did he land? Hit anything on the way down like a bedside table? Bleeding or swelling anywhere, either immediately or later on? All these can affect it.

If he landed directly on his head from high up (some beds are really high) I might still take him to emergency even if he’s acting normal. With my daughter since she fell from a low bed onto carpet and not head first, and from the couch she also fell on carpet onto her side, we just observed.

I worked at a preschool for a couple years and we had a lifeless boy about 2 yrs old who fell off some playground equipment and bonked his head. Needed a few stitches but is now a thriving 5 yr old.
