I love my kids but I just need some time to myself.
This probably sounds so ungrateful but I feel like I work 50+ hours to do all the childcare in the holidays and all the family admin sorting clothes, doing shopping , sorting schools - anything that needs planning.
We are going on holiday that I have to pack for the partner has ordered all new clothes for - he's always ordering cheap clothes that don't last meanwhile I got 1 day to shop for new glasses, new bras, a new bikini , a new dress to a theme party we were going to so I basically got glasses and a bra. This is 4 years after having 2 children and losing weight so you can imagine I do need new clothes.
All I want is 1 day to mysrlf before the holidays start so I can actually just breathe.
I work most nights and I haven't got to tbe gym for 3 weeks. My partner goes out to do sport or be with friends twice a week.
I fucking hate teacher life and I hate the summer holidays. Life is literally the same every day every week.

It's not ungrateful at all! I think a lot of women face this imbalance, myself including. I'm listening to fair play by Eve Rodsky ATM which is really interesting and there's also an account on Instagram I've come across called become a happier parent or something like that and it sums it all up very well.
Try and enjoy your break even though the lead up sounds like it's been intense and then when you get back maybe see if you can rebalance things a bit. I'm trying to rebalance now and it's a hard journey but I need to do it for my sanity.

So sorry to hear you feel this way. I can only hope you get what you need

Sorry you feel this way, I no how you feel only difference is im doing it alone and have been since lo was born, not what I wanted or chose but hey its gotta be done. It's so draining especially atm in this heat as neither of us are coping well at all. Hope you get what you need hun xx
