Is he constipated too at the minute or is he just withholding. My daughter did the same and that lead to bad constipation which she still deals with now at 3. She still withholds when she thinks it will be harder. She’s been prescribed Monica since 1.5 years old and I also tried these sachets of extra vitamins and fibre, they helped temporarily xx

I understand how you feel. My boy had regular episodes of constipation from after he turned 8 months till almost 2. His poo is fine now. He is 2 years and 8mnts. But he still gets a bit scared and holds his poo. That has made potty training impossible for me. I think his fear is gradually going away as his poo has been easy for months now but occasionally he still holds his poo for about 2 days before he is confident enough to let go. I really do hope he outgrows it. Sending you lots of love ❤️

I'm telling you this baby will eat me out of house and home

I don't even know if he even chews the food tbh with his gums and two teeth although I see his top teeth are close. And he eats all of his three meals and cries for more occasionally. We do mostly blw and he stuffs his face. He is 9 months and if he is eating like this already I am crying for my food shopping bill already. Send help. Sincerely

Being told I’m naturally lazy..

Hi everyone, I posted a while ago about my partner getting angry that I wasn’t doing his dinner every night/cleaning the house etc…while I’m busy looking after our baby full time on maternity leave.

Our baby is now 11 weeks, and my partner has again commented that I never clean the house (he’s made several sly comments this week eg when I commented about a mark on the floor he said “well the house needs to be cleaned before you worry about small stuff like that”), his washing “isn’t always getting done”, he also says the lawn hasn’t been mowed (and that I should be doing that - putting the baby in a sling) and the dinner still isn’t getting done like he wanted (despite me trying a few times last week begrudgingly..) and he has now just said that I’m NATURALLY LAZY. I honestly nearly lost it. He says if HE was looking after the baby more would be getting done…and again OUR MUMS DID IT WHY CANT YOU.

I don’t know what to do I have nobody to talk to because I don’t want them to think my partner is a total CU*T (excuse my french), but sadly he really is. I never dreamed he’d be like this. To say these things to the mother of his child that is looking after the baby full time.

I’m looking after our baby 24/7, he hasn’t changed anything about his lifestyle - still goes to a sports club still once a week (same as pre baby), has been on several nights out in the last few months and only looks after baby here and there in the week for an hour or so. He even sleeps in at the weekend, I don’t ask him to wake early and if he says he will…he never actually does, today an example. “I’ll get up at 7.30”…gets up at 10am. I don’t need him to get up anyway, I enjoy the time without the complete wan*er. I hate it when he gets home from work, I hate spending weekend time with him, I really hate him. I never ever say anything hurtful back to him because I’m not sinking to his level. All I can think is our poor sweet baby boy, he doesn’t deserve this.

He says the only positive thing about me is that I LOOK AFTER OUR BABY REALLY WELL. This is no exaggeration and I’m sad to even type this. I told him his mother would be ashamed if she knew all of this and I’m so close to telling her.

I wish I was making this up. Seeing it written down just looks so much worse.

Basically unless I become his housekeeper, seems like we’re doomed.

How did you transition for bottle feeds to solids when your toddler didn’t eat enough?

My little one she is 17 months she is having up to 5 bottles a day. We try to feed her solids first and if she would enough we would skip a bottle or give her a smaller bottle.
How did you do as this seems very lengthy and we are not being very successful so far?
Did you use a more cold turkey approach just skipping a bottle or did you cut down the quantity?
Thanks a lot!

Rant!!

My partner and I have just bickered over cleaning, he thinks he’s the only one that cleans because he does the kitchen everyday (he mainly uses it) and cleaned the dining room ONCE, bearing in mind we have a three bed two reception room house as he does naff all in any other room. I do all the other rooms/stairs/hallway etc. I apparently don’t do ANY cleaning because I don’t do it everyday and do it when I can or want to as I have a 6 month old. Yes, I’ll hold my hands up and say sometimes I let it go a little longer than I should but I’m soaking up time with my baby! He’s been at home all my maternity also (lying on the sofa) so why can’t he do something? Maybe he should scrub the toilet after he’s used it rather than me cleaning it?! I just feel so unappreciated and that I have to choose between my baby and cleaning? I do clean and when I do I deep clean but if I let a pile of clothes build it’s the end of the world?! He said I don’t do anything around the house because “all you do is go out and go to baby groups” - isn’t that what maternity leave is for? I do feel like my maternity leave has been intruded on a little as he’s always been around. Why should I have to justify going to baby groups? I’ve also made friends at these groups as I don’t have many friends. As I’ve just fed baby and got him down for a nap I’m cleaning the spare room for his parents to stay whilst he’s gone to the gym sulking? I adore the chap but he is causing my maternity leave feel like it should be used to do household chores and not spend time with my baby? I have spoken to so many people who have said their house was not spic and span on maternity leave. I have 6 weeks of mat leave left and I just want to enjoy it.

He is a good egg and does the bottles and watches baby whilst I do jobs around the house but him nagging is so draining and makes me fill sh*t.

Potty training

Has anyone tried potty training babies from a young age? My daughter is currently 4 months and I'm looking at potty training her in the next few months once she's able to sit independently. Any suggestions on pottys? Any advice?
