Car rear facing mirror gets kicked down every single car ride now from my long legged almost 2 year old! His legs are pretty bunched up i guess....
I'd like to keep him rear facing though? Who else loses their mirror every journey!

Usually the car seat info says till what weight they can be rear facing but I get it my daughter has long legs too and seems uncomfortable. They say it’s safest to keep them facing the back the longest u can 😬.

My HV said the law is changing later this year to keep rear facing until 4! I haven't a clue how that works practically though!

If he isn't uncomfortable I'd keep him rear facing but ditch the mirror. When my toddler started pulling his shade off every drive I said if you do it again it's gone for good. And then he did it again. So it's gone for good now. Great time to implement some boundaries! If he keeps kicking it down take it out. Then after a couple of drives replace the mirror with some books he can look through to pass the time.

Bones don't fuse until between 4.5 & 6.
5x safer to rear face until age 5.
Move the mirror to the middle seat.

We moved the mirror to the middle seat, kids will just cross their legs tbh, I'd sooner have an uncomfortable child than a seriously injured child from an accident
