So me and my sil fell out when my baby was born, she turned on me and turned her family on me and almost split me and my partner up all because she got angry I wouldn't let her babysit my newborn (i had only met her a handful of times previously)
Instead of trying to get to know me and build a relationship/trust she demanded my partner take our newborn to her house and leave me at home (we had no issues previously just no real relationship) of course I said no but made it clear she was welcome to visit any time but she decided if she couldnt see my baby without me she wasnt interested! She sent me a ton of abusive texts saying I was weird for neing with my newborn all the time!
Shes very stubborn and my partner has always said its her way or no way!
My daughter is now 5 and we see her at family gatherings thats all, shes very fake towards me but at the se time passive-aggressive and so is her husband, he tries his best to avoid me (if she said the sea was red he would agree)
Ive struggled with this for years and even reached out to try build a friendship but its always thrown back in my face.
My partner knows she is nasty but still he wont tell her.
I just feel lost how to act around her and her husband, I tend to shy away but im thinking thats making me look like im in the wrong when in fact she 100% should be apologizing to me.
How do I act towards them?

I personally could never be with someone who couldn't support me and back be up. That's crazy work when you're supposed to be creating your own family. I also don't allow my children around people who don't respect me and my boundaries. They are instantly removed and I won't think twice about it. You just have to decide how important she is to YOUR family, but the real issue here is your partner, he should be the one keeping HIS SISTER in line, not worrying about stepping on toes. My husband has cut family off for being disrespectful to me. Because I'm his chosen family and the mother of his children.
