I live at home in my family home, my partner was moving in (this was before i found out i was pregnant then found out i was pregnant 2 months before he actually moved in). I don’t know what to do anymore i can’t cope. My bedroom doesn’t even feel like my bedroom anymore im 31 weeks pregnant i avoid my bedroom all morning all day only go in there to sleep. My partner moved his budgie in, it’s in my room i tried to give it a go i cant cope with the constant high frequency noises any longer. On top of that i’ve been the one keeping up with budgies routine and cleaning (as of recently cleaning seeds and bird poo of the floor has become really difficult as i’ve got more heavily pregnant). I’ve tried to have the conversation so many times to my partner that the budgie needs to go i cant cope anymore it really is bringing me a lot of stress i don’t even want to be in the house. There is a place where the budgie can go and live at his sisters house. But my partner isn’t taking any action he’s just making it im the only person in the world who can’t cope with a budgie and saying things to make me feel guilty about no longer wanting the budgie here anymore. It isn’t going to work with a newborn in the home she’ll be arriving in around 9 weeks. I need my room back i need to feel comfortable in my own home again. I don’t know how i’ll look after a newborn +recover with the budgie in my room when i let alone can’t cope right now.

Even though the budgie droppings are not classed as highly toxic, you still should not be cleaning it, especially heavily pregnant. Being pregnant you need to minimise as many risks of infection as you can. Your partner should know better than let you do something like that. At the end of the day, it’s not his house, so realistically he hasn’t got a say if the bird stays or not. Can you get your family to tell him the bird needs to be removed? It’s not like he won’t ever see it again. When/ if you manage to get your own house there will be more space and things would have calmed down so he could possibly get the bird back. You’re coming towards the end, everything will irritate you, and everything will seem harder, but don’t stress over it , it’s completely normal, and you’ve got this!x

Girl, if you don't pull your big girl panties up, and stand up for yourself. This man is walking all over you. He isn't thinking about you, your needs/comfort and your baby. You shouldn't have to clean up after a pet that isn't yours if you don't want to. You shouldn't feel uncomfortable in your own home. If you can't speak up and stand your ground for yourself, how will you do that for your child? Seriously? Also even if there were more space, if you are the one who is doing all the work regarding this pet, you would still feel irritated. So bring it up again and tell him it needs to be gone within the next few days ( give a specific day).
