I don’t want to work anymore! I don’t care for progression, more money or even the ‘me time’. I just want to stay at home with my girl, live a simple stress free life. My actual situation requires me to work.. full time, whilst paying others to watch her, it’s all backwards if you ask me.
Some days I just feel so drained, like I’m not giving enough to everyone, has anyone else hit this milestone? Struggling to balance life? What should I do? Any advise is welcome 🙏 💚
On another note, I’m really struggling to like my pets… I mean, I love them of course … but my goodness, my cats meow at the moment vibrates through my brain like a chainsaw.
This must make sense to someone. I hope

Honestly, I think so many of us can relate to this and it’s bust because you’re a mum and on a different path ❤️ Going back to work while someone else looks after your little one is such a hard adjustment, and it can feel really unfair sometimes.
It sounds like you’ve just got so much on your plate at the minute. Try not to put so much pressure on yourself to be everything to everyone, you’re doing the best you can.
And the bit about your cats… I completely get it 😂 I’m exactly the same and they’re indoors cats and I’m at a point where I want to let them out. When you’re overwhelmed, even the smallest noises can feel like they’re going straight through your brain. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them, it just means you’re exhausted.
I really hope things start to feel a bit easier for you soon. 💚

I think becoming a mum changes you in ways you never expect. I went through exactly the same (and still do sometimes). I work full-time too, and being a SAHM just wasn’t an option for us. Instead, I tried to change how I worked - I start later so our mornings are slow and not rushed, I requested flexible working so I have Friday mornings off, and when I log off, I’m done. It doesn’t fix everything, but it helped me feel more present. Now I try to remind myself that working gives us the holidays, little adventures and memories we couldn’t otherwise have. I’d still choose to stay home if I could, but that’s just not our reality. ❤️
And the pets… I promise you’re not alone. I have two dogs and went through a phase where every bark felt like it was vibrating through my soul. I think it’s just exhaustion and overstimulation. It passed for me, and now watching my little boy adore them makes me love them even more. Be kind to yourself - you’re definitely not the only one feeling this way 🤍
