So I forgot to get the chicken breasts out the freezer last night so got them out this morning and have had them on the side.
One is quite large and still hasn’t defrosted properly - still have another 3 hours but ideally want to put them in the fridge now. Can you defrost the chicken in the microwave or will I make everyone ill? 😭🤣

It's not recommended. I'd personally just use tomorrow and make something else tonight
will it still be ok to use tomorrow? I’m such a fussy one when it comes to stuff like this and literally go to the minute for 24hrs out the freezer 😅

How much not defrosted is it? If its just a bit firm inside it'll probably be fine by dinner, and would be ok to cook, just may take a little longer and check its cooked all the way through. Definitely don't microwave it

Is it in a packet or anything? Sometimes in a rush, I’ll shove it in a sealed ziplock bag and just fill a bowl with lukewarm or cold water and defrost it quick like that.

Stick it in a sealed bag in a bowl of water and it will be fine. If you have a defrost function on your microwave, you can use that x
It’s just in a food bag! I’ve just checked it and I’m hoping it should be ok by 5ish so I can use it. If not will try the warm water in a bowl 🙂
I would probably try the microwave if it wasn’t dinner for my kids too and nursery tomorrow lol
