Tension at home

I don’t know if I just want to vent or I want advice or want to see what people did in my shoes 😫
Me & my husband have been together for 10 years we’re solid as can be had so many ups & downs
We’ve just had our first baby she’s 2 months now and he’s great with her - absolutely loves her
Our situation is just so rocky now - he gave up his job, as we had to move for my career and unfortunately we were naive we thought he could just pick up where he left off but he ended up being unemployed for 2 years and now is working a minimum wage job just to get by
He’s lost hope, isn’t really applying anymore & his career has been really affected
It’s causing so much stress & tension at home & I just don’t know what to do anymore - hate that it’s around my daughter too and it’s not helping my feelings towards him pp (even tho I can see he’s giving a lot of his energy and time but I just can’t deal with pp, baby and his issues too)
Any advice??

Idk. You're gonna have to dig deep to assist him and be there for him because he is where he is partly because of you. So help him get that job that he needs and support him however way he needs it. It's not easy for him in that situation and I empathise with him.

I have been feeling similarly with my husband (also been together 10 years and have our first baby, almost 3 months old). He goes to therapy, but I’m thinking of suggesting he goes a little more frequently, and maybe suggesting some podcasts and dad groups for him. I find it VERY hard to be able to help him as all of my energy is going into my new baby and my own self care. Ultimately we can’t fix things for them, but still be empathetic.

Yes he definitely needs some professional help. If you can perhaps consider paying a job recruiter and hand over that part. Then I agree with @Jessica therapy and dad's group might help. He's depressed atp. It's a terrible spot to be in for you. If he refuses help not much you can do. With a new baby It's so hard for you. I hope y'all can get past this.

My husband has a tendency to get like this too, he got fired and hasn’t been working for 4 months and he didn’t really apply for much jobs the whole time… I had to do it, we have a son and I’ve been pushing him to do things like studying for a trucking coarse. I finally started applying for him all together and got him an interview and finally today he was offered a job right when things were starting to look scary… honestly he started getting better when he saw that his back was against the wall… he almost didn’t want to go to the interview and wanted to skip it to go work with my uncle BUT he realized himself that if he doesn’t get something going soon.. than we won’t be able to pay rent lol. And I think men sometimes need to feel that for behind their ass. Sooo it’s like a balance between helping & also letting them know that there making things risky

Teenagers living at home

Hey everybody just looking to settle a debate. I’m based in the UK and I’m a disabled single mother, my son recently turned 18 and he has a job has left school and is going to start college in the fall. I currently work 16.5 hours a week on minimum wage due to my disability. I no longer receive child benefit etc for him as he isn’t a child and I’ve asked for £100 digs a month to help towards food and bills.

My friend thinks this is unreasonable and he shouldn’t have to pay rent to live at home. I think I’m helping set him up for life and understanding responsibility but I don’t know!

What do you think?

Sleep deprivation/hormones = poor relationship??

Really struggling at the moment. I’m nearly at week 7 and alongside my baby who still won’t settle at night due to reflux/wind, barely settles in the day unless being held/carried, and is taking an hour to feed through crying/gagging at the bottle I feel like I’m going through intense PMS.

My mood swings are crazy and I find if I can get nothing done in the day except feed my LO, I’m so so stressed which makes me naggy with my partner when he comes home from work - he thinks just holding her while I can do other house bits is helpful (which it is, but if he could muck in and do housework too that would be great)

Me and partner are still sleeping separately, he’s downstairs on a mattress and I’m upstairs with LO trying to settle her all night. This was fine except now it’s making me feel so disconnected from my partner.. I don’t feel like we’re a team and just passing ships.

Friends have offered to baby sit for a night so we can go to the cinema, but I’d feel so guilty leaving her, has anybody else left their 7 week old for a date night?

Me and partner have barely held each other since LO was born, never mind sleep in the same bed and DEFINITELY haven’t done the deed.. as much as I’d like to be intimate again, the thought of doing this with her in the next to me?? Would that not be weird?

Just feeling a bit lost and like me and partner won’t find each other again. Someone please tell me we will, and that I will eventually exit robot mum personality and become a bit of myself again ☹️ feeling so unattractive with my new saggy unwashed body while partner resumes his almost back to normal life.

Can anybody relate and tell me this all gets easier?

Is this considered "advanced"?

I know every child is different, but I'm just wondering if it would be considered particularly advanced that my just turned 3 year old (was 3 in May) can write his name unprompted from memory, as well as writing "mum" and "dad" from memory. We can dictate any letter of the alphabet to form a word and he could write it out in eligible handwriting. He can also write 1-20 in order from memory. We haven't pushed numbers and letters on him, he seems to just have a particular interest in them. Even a year ago he knew all the alphabet letters and could recognise and recite each one individually from signs or books etc. Blows my mind!

What is my problem?

I’m struggling y’all. I had my son 9 months ago and PPA and ppd are kicking my butt and now ppr is coming in hot. The worst part is the rage is directed all to my husband. I feel such resentment towards him. Like all the time. He’s not a bad guy but when he can’t settle little man he just turns on reels to distract him. Which drives me crazy. He sits on his phone a lot playing games. I feel like I’m going crazy. But everything he does is just like come on guy. I want him to be more present. I want to have more help around the house and with dinners. I want him to understand that ppa and ppd are real and they suck. But he sucks at taking feedback. I try to express that I feel like we’ve lost our spark and he says I’m wrong… I’m desperately trying to feel lovey but honestly I just don’t. I just feel irritated by him. I feel our candle is burnt out and he just says it’s not true. I don’t know the purpose of this confusing rant but I needed to get it out.

Feeling defeated

My fiance is being accused of something that he would NEVER do. I have tried everything to do this alone,I have nobody to talk to about this. If anybody has ever dealt with somethings like this, can you message me,so I can talk. I need advice! I literally cry everyday over this, I dont know what else to do.
