Hi there, did anyone take breast pumps to hospital if you’re planning to breastfeed? Is this recommended?

Heyyy. No defo not. Hospital have pumps there should you need one I borrowed theirs last time xx

Not had my baby yet but I think it might be a good idea to take yours so you can get use to it maybe! Xx

Ill be bringing my collection cups for leaks but that is it. I plan on establishing breastfeeding before I begin to pump xx

It’s not recommended to pump for the first 6 or so weeks until feeding is established, unless medically advised to increase supply. Hospitals will supply hospital grade pumps if needed x

Your milk doesn’t come in until around day 3 anyway so unless you’re going to be in significantly longer than that maybe? Although I would focus on establishing breastfeeding for around a week before thinking about pumping x
