Is it normal to be extremely nervous about having sex again? I’m almost 1 month pp, had a second degree tear and still feel slightly sore down there; I’m nervous about how sex will feel since I’ve had my baby. This is my first child and i do feel a bit sore. My partner is very ready and the 6 weeks isn’t even up. It’s very nice to feel wanted and I’m also annoyed and feel pressured even though he said we can take our time but sex is all he keeps bringing up. Ugh i don’t know how to feel, this is scary. I love sex and my partner ugh why do i feel this way . I hate hormones , I’m annoyed ..

I didn't have sex for months after my son was born. I had no appetite for it whatsoever. Eventually we got back into it but it was almost weird doing it with my husband after such a long time 😅 definitely give yourself at least the 6 weeks. Internally you're still healing, just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not there! I was worried it would hurt, feel different, not be comfortable, he wouldn't enjoy it etc. But my husband tells me its exactly the same as before. So when you are ready it will be fine 🙂

Well tell him saying we can take our time and then pressuring you about it doesn’t make sense. Of course he is ready. Nothing changed for him. 1 month postpartum I was crying every day and my world didn’t make any sense. My husband watched me give birth. He knew the struggles I went through. Tell him to man up and be patient and stop being a child
About it. Honey it’s completely normal to feel nervous you birthed a whole human being.. i didnt have sex until i was 3 months postpartum i think. Me and my husband were so busy with our baby sex was the last thing on my mind. You can do other stuff to feel intimate. Have sex when you are ready and you feel like you want too 🤍🤍

This isn’t hormones, this is you feeling upset and annoyed because you don’t feel supported effectively by your partner, he keeps bringing up sex when you know you aren’t ready for it and he should just wait and not keep mentioning it bc it’s making you feel pressured. It’s normal to feel nervous since you had a traumatic delivery experience. Xx

Do not let him pressure you. I had an episiotomy and stitches after my son and I didn’t feel ready until 4 months postpartum. Your body has so much healing to do. You can do other things without actual intercourse - he needs to understand that you need time to recover not only physically but emotionally / mentally too.
