Nursery funding questions - very confused!

1. We have been approved for nursery funding & given our code. We missed the deadline for earlier this year so the nursery said we can start using it from I think September, does that sound right?

2. Our son goes to nursery Monday, Wednesday & Thursday for a total of 22.5 hours (7.5 each day) and we have been approved for 30 hours of funding, does this mean that his nursery bill will be completely covered?

Sorry if these questions make me sound really stupid but this is our first time dealing with all of this and no one has really explained anything so I’m a bit confused! Nursery being completely covered for us sounds a bit too good to be true!

Thank you for your help ☺️

Would need to check with nursery if they stretch the funding as the 30hrs only covers term time. Most places will stretch it so school holidays are covered which means it’s less hours over the year.
Is the 7.5hrs a full nursery day or just the hours you’re planning on putting little one in? As that’s another thing to check as usually the funding will cover a full day ie. the hours the nursery is open rather than the hours you’re putting them in for specifically unless it’s a half day.

Our son goes to nursery from 9am - 4.30, it’s a little over the set hours for a half day but also less than a full day as the nursery is open until 6.30 I believe. Thank you for the info! x

Equal parenting

I’m almost 3 months PP now and I love being a mum, it’s everything I ever dreamed it would be.
However what isn’t is the lack of joint responsibility as a parent from my husband. Since Freddie was born I have done every night shift, every bedtime feed/routine, I carry the mental load (bottle prep, bottle washing, nappies, inventory, day trips and feeding times) and he doesn’t seem to understand the weight of carrying it alone. I have worked so hard to establish a good nighttime routine to the point where he is sleeping 7-7 and feeding once in the night and I don’t want him to undo that. There are so many tasks that he could do that could lift the weight off my shoulders but doesn’t and I just feel like I shouldn’t have to spell it out for him.
I guess I’m just looking for advice on how to be less controlling, it’s just hard because he hasn’t shown any interest unless I complain about it and wants to prove a point that he can do it. It’s destroying our friendship and causing far too many arguments.

His dark cloud is affecting us all

My partner had a mental breakdown recently and he's really struggling. He's trying hard but he just can't seem to find any joy in life or stop worrying about things..
I'm trying really hard to be supportive and make sure he doesn't have any stresses but it's really starting to get to me now. I feel numb, I am tired, I am moody, I can't be bothered. I feel like I am being snappy at the kids or just ignoring them. Then I feel guilty. I want to cry but I can't even summon tears tbh. His family have been supportive and he has been reaching out to people for help but I still feel overwhelmed. I am worried about him and I feel like I am not able to help him.
I'm tired.

Thank you for reading, maybe I just needed to vent.

Daycare

If you choose not to send your 2-year-old to daycare since you are at home and don't work but your mother in law and her family members took it upon themselves to register him what would you do? Especially after saying countless times your not sending your child to daycare.

Is it selfish to split up from my husband?

Just for a bit of background, me and my husband have been together for 10 years. We have a 2.5 year old, 1 year old (April baby) and a dog.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference but he was my first boyfriend and we met when I was 20. I'm now 30 and just feel like he doesn't give me what I want out of a relationship. We've had the same conversation over and over and over again, he says he's going to change and put more effort in but the effort dies after a few days.

My biggest problem is the lack of affection, general intimacy and sex. I've told him repeatedly for a long time that the marriage I want involves all of those things and if we don't have that then we might as well just be friends. I understand that life has been crazy for the past few years with the kids etc. but bottom line, I want my husband to want to have sex with me.

I find it absolutely mortifying and humiliating that I have to constant ask and be rejected. It just feels like everything falls onto me. The thing is, if we split up then I just can't fathom only seeing my kids half of the week but I'm also not happy in the relationship. Do I just suck it up and be unhappy for the sake of the kids or do we split up so I can look for what I need in another partner and just see my kids 50/50?

Opinion pls.

Child’s father is in another state, once I’m in active labor he’d either catch a flight or drive down here (10-11 hr drive)

Usually ppl are in the hospital for 1-2 days. He is only coming to see the baby then going home i believe. Isn’t that pointless? Or not really? I’m a first time mom so I’m trying to time everything

(To add to the post he is only coming to see baby in the hospital, once discharged he’ll be making his way back on the road)

Giving baby food

Hey ladies. I’ve recently started giving my baby purées. He just turned 5 months. What kind of fruits can I give him in the little teething toy ? When I look it up online it keeps telling me not to give him anything other than a few purées. Does anyone have a list ?
