Small glass of wine judged by the MIL

Went out for a meal last night with my in laws. She didn’t hear me order my drink but I ordered a small glass of white wine with lemonade spritz. When it arrived at the table she asked whose it was to which I said it’s mine, she said “well you can’t have that” (I’m exclusively breastfeeding). I corrected her and said I could, I had bought a bottle of my expressed milk with us for my daughter to have over dinner and by the time we would get home I would be more than ok. She repeated her same statement to which I said I could again and does she really think I would put my daughter in any danger to which she backed down!
For context I can count how many alcoholic drinks I have had since having our 6 month old daughter on one hand although granted this is the first glass of wine I have had in my MIL company. My MIL didn’t breastfeed, I just didn’t appreciate her comments. Did I over react?

Co-sleeping while drinking is more dangerous than drinking and breastfeeding. Your body gets rid of alcohol in your breastmilk at the same rate it does if you were to drive and have a drink. Alcohol would not be in your system by the time you were home and breastfeeding. You should do what I did. Have your glass of wine when baby is having a feed. If you do this alcohol takes time to enter your system/breastmilk. Then by the time they need their next feed, it’s out of
your system. That would rock your MIL 😂

But honestly there’s so many studies that show having one standard drinks or even a few while breastfeeding is not an issue. It’s the safety around drinking and your baby. Carrying your baby. Putting them to bed. Co-sleeping if you are. That is what can be an issue with drinking and young ones.

Talking

We have a 17 month old. At his clinic they said by 18 months he should have at least 20 words. He doesn’t. Everything is either daddy or he points and moans to what he wants. Should I be worried?

How many words is it normal for a 15 month old to say?

A family member made a negative comment about the number of worlds my baby can say at this age.

Does losing weight mean losing my milk supply slowly?

I’ve been going Gym for the last 4 to 5 weeks and I’ve noticed the change of my milk supply. I’m drinking plenty of water and I’m eating foods but less I’m taking the food I’m eating because I’ve changed my diet. Yeah she’s still drinking which is good, but I feel like I’ve been giving her more formula than breastmilk, which I don’t want.

12h under 12 weeks & breastfeeding

Hey! My baby is 6 weeks and breastfeeding. She eats every 2h during the day and 3h at night (I feed her whenever she asks so we don’t really have a schedule). Naturally we’re not sleeping much due to her feeding schedule and her really bad reflux so we were recommended to try the 12hours under 12 weeks book/technique. Has anyone done this and do you think its compatible with a breastfed baby?
