My baby is 11 weeks old. I have been struggling with clogged ducts on my right side which is my breast I produce more in usually. I ebf and rarely pump. I was struggling with my baby eating enough so I consistently always put her on the breast first before anything and it’s helped her weight tremendously! With that said I’ve noticed after a feed sometimes she is fussy but I still feel slightly firm (not as much as the beginning of feed) so I will continue to try to have her latch. Sometimes this ends up her throwing up. The lactation consultant said this could be a sign of over feeding. I also have had 3 clogged ducts in 2 weeks 😭 I plan to call the lactation consultant but what do you think is going on? My baby is gaining weight well and eating well.

Forgot to mention I have been getting full/firm within an hour after feeds. I get engorged at 3 hours since last feed. I usually hand express to give myself some comfort. I just don’t know how you pumpers do it??😂😭 I will pump but then I’m not consistent. I also don’t know how you have the time to clean and make sure everything’s dry?!

It’s completely normal to have an oversupply at the start, over the first couple weeks your supply will reduce to match baby’s needs!
If you’re removing extra milk by pumping, you’ll keep producing extra!
You’re doing the right thing just hand expressing if you’re uncomfortable, when milk is left in the breast it sends signals to your body to let it know it’s not needed and to reduce production, so definitely leave the pumps alone for at least 6 weeks ◡̈
