Reduced movements..

I'm currently in triage for reduced movement but of course baby girl has started moving like crazy since they hooked me up... we have been on the monitor an hour now because the midwife says she is moving TOO much and affecting the reading (baby girl always moves a lot at this time of day...plus I think something about the monitor is freaking her out maybe?) How long will they keep me on here for? I personally feel fairly reassured and want to go home now as it is a long journey home...has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried?

Midwife says everything looks otherwise normal re heart rate, blood pressure etc

Could always just say you are leaving against their recommendation. If you’re reassured etc.

Mine wanted to send me in a couple of weeks ago, and I decided against because the movements started up again, and felt normal to me. I felt like i didn’t need to waste a couple of hours in triage uncomfortable; when I’d reassured myself anyway as movements had picked back up.

I believe they need 10 mins of continuous monitoring. So last time I went she was moving so much she kept moving away from the monitor which made it hard to monitor but once we got 10 mins I could go

C-section with a toddler!

I’m interested to hear people’s experiences! We are hoping for a 3’ish year age gap and my daughter still breastfeeds and co sleeps (won’t be changing either until she wants to)… my little girl always wants me to hold her, cuddle and obviously she’s on me a lot with feeding.

I’ll be having a planned Caesarian next birth due to a traumatic natural birth before with significant tearing so trying to think ahead and feeling anxious about it!

Having a C-Section with a almost 2 year old

Hi! I’ll be having my next baby in January 2027 and stuck between having a elective c-section as my birth with my son was so traumatic or trying for a VBAC but i just want to know how is having a C-Section Recovery with a toddler & newborn. I’m just so worried as my toddler is attached to me and is such a mummy’s boy. Any advice would be so helpful.

Thank you

Cheering myself up tips? Need to vent - it’s long, sorry.

I’ve only just entered the third trimester and all of a sudden in just a few days I’ve gone from being so happy and calm and now I am fed. TF. Up.

My ass is enormous, feels as big as my bump, my maternity clothes don’t fit over my butt anymore. My arms and breasts are like pumped full of air. I’m tired all the time and hungry but constantly full. None of the maternity clothes fit and it’s still so humid and hot WHY DID I GET PREGNANT DURING SUMMER
I tried to be so chill during the heatwave and didn’t complain but now the summer is continuing I am just done with it. I don’t want to wear anything tight or summery, I want baggy trackies in winter and pyjamas and big jumpers 😭🤣

Baby is always sitting so so low down as well - please just get off my bladder so I can sit down for 5 mins without going to the toilet or go for a walk without feeling so heavy down there. Thirsty all the time but know I’m going to have to pee shortly after any drink.

I know baby is going to basically double in weight over the next 3 months and I just feel so grumpy all the time, I feel so bad for my husband because I’m just like a grouchy housemate at this point.

Just getting out to walk the dogs feels hard to enjoy because I hate the way I look and clothes I have and plodding around the park like a fat little hippo sucks, bending to pick up sticks and dog poo sucks.

Is there a dark cave I can go an sleep off the rest of this trimester please? I’ve just come back from a spa day and it’s like barely made a dent, also seeing younger non pregnant women in their bikinis just made me feel so bad about my lumpy cellulite huge pregnant bum.

Not sure how to pick myself up so that I can have a pleasant conversation with another human in the near future - any tips?

Big baby

Hey girls, I’m 35 weeks on Friday and had an extra scan yesterday to check placenta placement.. the placement was fine but the baby measured at 98th centile for weight, head and tummy. They always have measured big but yesterday they seemed more concerned. They’re testing me for the third time for diabetes (the first 2 were negative). I said I was worried something was wrong and she replied “we are too, that’s why we’re doing the glucose check again and having an extra scan”.. she also said try not to panic and that none of this is my fault.. it made me think that I should be panicking?! Has anyone else had this?

1st birthday

So I’m throwing a 1st birthday party for my girls but I’m wondering what the gift situation will be like. I’ve never thrown any party, so this will be our first and it’s at a venue. Is it cheesy/ does it look bad to create a registry and share on the party invitation? Should I say specifics on what gifts to get (age appropriate, specific diaper/ wipes brands, etc)? Or should I do nothing and just accept gifts as they come? Sorry for the random typing but for some reason I’m struggling to put my thoughts into words lol

Should I ..
