Do you want to be friends with moms your own age?

Ive noticed its hard for me to be friends with moms who are younger but im 41 and I have kids under 6 and I find that if you're too young I dont think I can. But I also see it in them too like sorry im not into TikTok and nails and fake eyelashes and shit.

Is it just me?

So I joined this to make friends find connections, but I feel like I connected with some people had some conversations and then it just dies out fades out. I feel like and I might be the only one here, but I feel like some people are just on here just to know about other moms and then that’s it, or read posts of Mom‘s going through things and that’s just not why I did this like I moved to a town where I am new here. I don’t know anybody I’m a new mom well, he’s 18 months now but still I’m a new mom. He’s my only son you know and like I do everything and anything for him like 24/7 he is my life so I forgot about who I am and I’m trying to make friends here like I’m trying to create something so when it comes to his birthday parties I have Mom friends that bring kids! My older sister has kids and I go to her birthday parties they’re huge! I’m not jealous but at the same time, I envy that because that’s what I want. I want connections I want friends I want my son to have friends, I feel like maybe some people are just like here for the wrong reasons it sucks! I’m really here to try to make connections and I wish I can get the same effort I’m putting in back. Don’t get me wrong I connected with one girl and it’s been great haven’t set a play date yet.

but I know I’m ranting right now but that’s just how I feel and it’s hurtful the whole reason for this app is to feel better about not feeling like your the only one and there are people out there but I’m trying and it’s just been frustrating I guess

How does the nursery funding work? Is it 15 or 30 free hours? I am currently self employed and getting maternity allowance until December 2026.

My daughter was born on 2nd April, so does this mean we will have to wait until April 1st to start the new term, I've heard it's either January 1st, April 1st or September 1st?

Disability Pay on 1099

Is there a way to get disability pay when leaving a 1099 job? Or will i just get paid nothing 😭 I already know maternity leave is a no go apparently :(

Money troubles

Hi everyone , posting incognito as I am too nervous to publicly. I am having financial issues with my partner . He is working full time and I am home with our 11 month old . I have the opportunity to go back to work which is just min wage retail part time . I just feel so overwhelmed . We are trying to move out of in laws. He pays rent . Money seems to just disappear into thin air. All I want is to be with my daughter . I don’t want to have to leave her with my MIL ( we have issues ) . I hate the fact I’ll most likely have to go back to my old job . I have qualifications I recently completed which are beauty related - facial and massage . I just don’t know what to do with it . I’m in the UK. It’s so hard to find a place . I just want a remote job or a way to make money from home to help my husband out but I can’t find any . I have a degree which doesn’t seem to matter these days . I’m ranting but I’m so overwhelmed . Any one been in this position ? Or have any job ideas or money ideas . All advice welcome 😅 what would you do in my position
