Redundancy on mat leave

Just how hard is it to get rid of someone on mat leave? I work in a pretty unsteady industry and due to law changes the industry I work in is getting harder to remain profitable. Theres been chatter of redundancies but nothing confirmed apart from a company wide hiring freeze but I've gone through the redundancy process already with this company last year and was lucky enough to get a new role within the business. I went on mat leave end of May and due back end of Feb but I can't stop panicking about possible redundancy. My role is quite niche so finding a similar job after is neigh on impossible but I've been in this type of role for a number of years now so finding a different job will also prove difficult. Just how hard would it be for them to make me redundant and are the maternity protection laws as protective as they make out ?

Partner upset I have to get my IUD checked out by a male doctor, the same doctor who delivered 3 of our kids and been my doc since 18. He said it’s bullshit and I need to find a woman doctor

Should i get a gift or be petty

When I got married in Cyprus, several guest didn't get wedding gifts. I wasnt too fussed because in my eyes the gift was them being present.
But a simple card would have been nice!!

Any who this guest has invited me to their wedding in Japan. The flights a lot have already cost £3000 for us and our kid. (Bare in mind a flight to Cyprus is under £100) I haven't even looked at the cost of accommodation yet.

Now the guest is do I get them a gift? I'm already spending like 4 times the amount they spent to attend my wedding and they didn't even bother with a card.

Need friends 😩

Currently pregnant with my second child and the father chose to walk away, not seeing his first child either. Just feeling lonely in the journey and would love some friends to get to know and bond with. I’m from the US and live in Ohio. But open to long distance friends too. 💗
