Hey friends I was wondering how much food does your 1 year old eat in a day? My daughter is 18 months and eats but not as much as I’ve seen others her age eat. Is it normal for them to not wanna eat as much at this age?

My daughter is the same way. I mentioned that to her pediatrician, she’s at a good weight, energy does NOT change, good diapers and sleep so always try to give them meals and snacks when you can. If anything out of the normal changes that’s when it’s an issue 🫶🏻

My daughter has one 8 oz bottle of lactose free milk when she wakes up and one an hour and a half before bed. In between that time it’s usually just water. I give her baby biscuits, low salt crackers, and fresh fruit for snacks. Breakfast is usually an egg or two. Lunch and dinner is either homemade chicken noodle soup or beef stew. (Daughter is lactose intolerant so I don’t bother with any dairy 😆 but a lot of kids like cheese!)

Is your little one growing okay? Are they making new strides developmentally? If so, don’t pay a mind to what a single other child is doing.
Do know that our kiddos are little and they don’t need as much as you’d think :) this is the perfect stage to encourage them to trust their bodies and learn their hunger cues and establish that healthy relationship with food. Continue serving food at regular intervals - you’re doing just fine!!
