My daughter had her 9-12month review yesterday. She's doing amazingly well and progressing with flying colours! The health visitor mentioned dropping down to 1 nap a day. Isn't that a little bit early? My daughter does struggle to go to sleep in the evening, I usually cap her afternoon nap to 4pm and then she goes to bed at 8, sometimes it takes about an hour to get her down but I've been putting that down to development and basically wanting to be awake to explore.
I'm confused as to what I should do now. I think the health visitor is a little early on this, but maybe I'm wrong?

My little boy is nearly 11 months and he needs his morning nap still. With my daughter I am sure it was over a year old she went down to 1 nap. But every babies different. Does she still need the morning nap? By 9am my little boy is rubbing eyes xx

I would not get rid of a nap until I absolutely had to. I’m still resentful of nursery making my son drop his last at 3. I think we were at least 18 months before he dropped to one.
We’re having the same night time thing at the moment if that helps. She used to boob to sleep for nap and bedtimes and now doesn’t for any of them. I think it’s development, not tiredness.

Naps are sacred 😂💕…. I might eat my words but I’m keeping 2 naps for as long as I can… also on the health visitor front I’d take some of what they say with a pinch of salt and do what’s best for you/your baby. I feel like their advice isn’t the same across the board.
