I’ve heard great things. But I know that it’s story telling and at 1 my kids most definitely didn’t care to sit and listen to a box. So if you have the money and want to get it then go for it. I think it’ll be nice long term. But if you’re trying to find something that they will actually play with right now and only get one or two things then I’d maybe wait

My brother bought one for my daughter for her first birthday. She likes the tonies that are songs e.g. Ms Rachel more than the stories. She does use the ones of books she already knows for example we read the tiger who came to tea a lot before and she does put that on.

My first was not interested in the Tonie box until she was about 4, my second has loved the Tonie box since she was able to sit up and put them on the box herself. Depends on your little one I suppose 🤷‍♀️ I recommend the song ones or ones where they’ll recognize characters (eg Ms Rachel).

I got one for my son on his first birthday and he's been loving it! Listens everyday for the past month ( he's 13 months now). He likes the songs more than stories so we got him Ms Rachel, Cocomelon and baby shark.

Working while Pregnant

Unfortunately my husband and my financial situation is not the greatest but he makes just enough that we don’t qualify for most government assistance and other similar programs. In order to afford bills I had to get a job. I looked everywhere for something remote or low intensity but after multiple months of getting rejected or no response I had to take the first offer I got. I am working as a merchandise stocker at Target. They are really great with working with me with what they can but unfortunately I come home from every shift in excruciating pain and nausea. Most of the pain is in my back, feet, and shoulder blades. I need some suggestions for things I can do to prevent the pain, things I can do to help calm the pain when I get home, accommodations I can reasonably ask for, or remote jobs that actually will hire someone. I know PT is a big thing but unfortunately my insurance is not great and I cannot afford it; keeping this in mind please suggest low cost solutions! TIA

Im looking for help

Im at my breaking point, this is a long one I (25f) am married to my husband (24m) and we have had a sort of openish relationship he got involved with this girl who just turned 20. She is now living with us in our spare room paying half of the rent. We are doing this to help her because she is an orphan and apparently has no family and was abused by her foster family *i dont believe her background* but she has major attitude issues which i tried so hard to ignore as im really pregnant and have a toddler to care for ive got enough on my plate. I used to take her to work she works third shift with my husband but she has a different time she works because they work in different departments so I took her so my husband could get ready two days ago she woke up late and had an attitude it was horrible I was driving her to work and she kept rushing saying she was going to be late I ignored it 2 times and just told her I was getting there as fast as I could then she flipped out on me and started saying I should have woke her up and its my fault and a lot more was said we argued and I got mad and dropped her at the next gas station and told her I was not going to be disrespected and I am not her mom she is an adult and it is her job to get herself up and ready. She acts super entitled and trys to start drama almost daily so when I finally snapped it all came out. I went back home and told my husband what happened and he got ready really fast and said he was going to work early so he could leave early (3 hours early by the way) he basically ran out of the house and im almost 100 percent sure he ran to go pick her up off the side of the road. I asked him to not take her home when he got off and he blatantly lied to me and told me she got an Uber back to the house. When I got in our car the next morning all her work stuff was in the front seat and the passenger seat was leaned all the way back. Also she couldnt have put her work stuff in the car after work because it was locked and she doesn't have a key and there would be no point to him putting the passenger seat down like that. That is the issue she disrespected me completely and my husband ran to her. It makes me sick to think about i talked to my therapist and she recommended it take 2 days away from the house and both of them but I dont have any family I can stay with on such short notice and I dont have money to get a room right now because im out of work due to being high risk. I want to leave and tell him to choose but I need somewhere to stay first. Please comment any ways I can get any help leaving or maybe I can drop my cashapp and try to raise enough to get a room for two days?

Contraception

I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with different types of contraception post partum. I was on the pill prior to having my baby but reluctant to go back on that. I did try the coil but that didn't agree with me. Any advice would be appreciated x

Returning to work

I’m dreading returning to work and considering either not working at all (and being broke) or looking for something part time. I can’t do my old job now I have a baby, it’s too much stress and I can’t afford full time childcare. Is anyone else in the same boat or have ideas for part time jobs? 🥹
