Mil rant

My mil must be absolute worst person for taking the word no!! She's been told 4 times if not more we are busy on Sunday she is not coming down!!! Our son is away to my mum's for a week we are taking a day just us but we have a wedding venue appointment we said we will pop down for half hour after appointment and she says yeah then I'll come to your house and you can take me home. Like what part of your not coming down is so fucking hard to understand!! So far she's did the I'm hard of hearing excuse the manipulation the gaslighting to the dictator mode. She visits every Sunday so we have told her we just want a day for just us as it's first Sunday since our son was born in 2019. I just want to shake her to listen!!! I just want a day where we aren't cooking big Sunday dinners and stuck listening to her gossip and bitch about people I don't give a shit about.

Have you given it to her in writing that she can’t come down, then the hearing excuse can be squashed.

My partner has just called her and told her we are busy you can come next Sunday which now means a week of silent treatment. We are going away on Tuesday for few nights thankfully we are 4 hours away lol.
She's always been same very controlling and tantrums. She wants come wedding venue but we both agreed no as she's very opionated and comes across very rude xxx

Argument with husband

Would you be annoyed/upset if you were meeting some friends for a drink and you’d got yourself and your son ready and as you were putting your shoes on and getting your toddler’s bag of things together, your husband just left the house with your son and didn’t communicate he was going to start walking ahead? I phoned him and he said he was on his way to the pub. I’d got our son ready and was getting my own shoes on and his snacks and bag together and he didn’t have the decency to wait for me so we could walk to the pub together, or even communicate he was going to walk ahead.

Help, advice.

Im currently going thru a phase (i hope) with my 7 year old. Hes very mouthy and sarcastic. When speaking to me my daughter. Hes always in a demanding tone. He doesn't talk to hus father like that but he has tried. I try to talk, take certain toys or activities away but I always break and give in. I feel/know that he knows he can get over on me and he uses that to his advantage. When he decides not to listen or starts being mouthy. I will try to redirect him or say things like we don't talk like that in this house. We respect and show love in this house hold. Even then he will stomp shout. Then his father will intervene and then this Lil boy wants to get some act right but why does it take for his father to get involved for him to listen to me?? I on the other hand will get upset and cry because at that moment I feel overwhelmed out of touch. Like why can't the child ive carried and birth not respect me or listen.

To the parents who don't pop their kids. How do you get them to listen??

2 year age gap advice

I’ve only just found out I’m pregnant so excuse me mildly crashing out out of pure fear and anxiety.
Of course I’m over the moon and so blessed that I get to do this all over again and make my son a big brother but it’s really just hit me how the hell am I going to do this. I know people do very often have more than 1 child but he’ll be just over 2 by the time this baby is born and he’ll still need me so much I’ve got so many thoughts going round my head of how I’ll cope as I know how time and life consuming newborns are and I don’t ever want him to feel left out. Please tell me these are normal thoughts and it will all work out somehow 😅

Resent my partner

Is it wrong to resent my partner since having our little girl? I’m so tired of having to think for him aswell, he just goes to work, has a shower or chills, has a lie in etc, whatever works for him. But if I ask for some help around the house, with her or to go and do anything for me it’s like a massive favour. Or at least that’s how I’m made to feel.
I’m starting to feel it would be easier doing it on my own rather than having to think for him aswell. At least if you no you’ve got to do it all you get on with it rather than waiting or hoping someone else will help you.

What's your picky toddlers favorite food?

I need more ideas on what to cook for my picky toddlers (with hidden veggies).

Toilet

What are we doing with our Velcro babies when we need the toilet, specifically if we know we are going to be in there a while. He hates a bouncer etc. I’ve just had to lay him on a towel on the floor and he was fine, but feels super unhygienic
For reference this is what we have to do. There was a big smile for once😂
