It’s giving me so much anxiety I just want someone to tell me that’s not possible

That’s very very rare. Maybe it did happen. And so unfortunate to her. I don’t want to dismiss her experience and say it’s not possible. But the chances? Again, very rare. Don’t let a rare circumstance give you anxiety mama. Just Bf and take breaks when needed, as in use hakaa to catch extra letdown, pump sometimes, have someone else give baby bottle of ebm (or ebm topups) when the nipple get too sore/when you need more sleep or a break, and just know that situation is very rare and unlikely of it happening to the average Bf mama.

That's not possible.
Worst case scenario could be a cut or a groove in your nipple. But if your latch is good, baby literally cannot bite you. Babies are (almost always) born without teeth, I promise you'll have the latch down until baby gets teeth

I had a baby bitter and didn't loose my nipple in 2.5 years of BF... Honestly I can't imagine how this could even happen.
