It will get easier and less painful with time,
You can also check the nipple size if it’s compatible with the flanges on your pump if that’s how you express. Using nipple creams before pumping helps too

Prefeeding massages, a hot pad before and cold after, drink lots and lots!

Your flange size as others have said is very likely not right and causing the pain x

Also putting olive oil on the flange creates less friction. Size of nipple flange is so important. Mine was super painful and then I got the right size and it was completely different story

I would recommend avoiding expressing or pumping until breastfeeding is well established after 6 weeks if you plan on sticking to it. I made this mistake and started pumping to early on because that’s what the midwives kept pushing on me on the hospital. Unless your baby isn’t feeding on you and is gaining weight there is no harm waiting it does get easier 🫶🏻
