I have exclusively pumped for my 5 month old due to a lack of ability to latch but still wanting to provide her with my breastmilk. However I am now at the point where I feel like pumping is impacting my ability to be the best mum, I have to pump still during the night so it makes me so tired and pumping in the day also impacts what we do / where we go and I want to make the most of time together because they just grow too quickly.
Has any other mums had experience in this and have better convenient ways for it to work or did anyone change to a formula instead? She’s a refluxy baby so I’m super conscious about changing milk and causing her more tummy issues and this is where all my contradictory thoughts come in.
Just a mummy over here wanting to do the best thing overall and not sure what that is haha 😩

I still pump occasionally as my supply has dropped, I give her mostly formula now HIPP organic is really good my baby has a sensitive tummy x

I had this problem and gave up with it just before 3 months because I was a shell and getting really anxious over giving her enough milk, which I didn’t have in the end. It was the best decision I ever made!
There are formulas designed for more delicate tummies and although we didn’t need these I know a few people that have had success with them when their babies have suffered with others. Xx

Have you tried nipple shields? My baby wouldnt latch and did straight away with them, saved our breast feeding journey!

Do you have a wearable? I honestly wouldnt have got to 2 years pumping without my medella freestyle. I just used microwave steralising bags. Once sterilised. I cleaned my hands. Put them together and resealed the bag. Then I just eithet went to a changing room to wash my hands and put them on (also checked if my daughters nappy needed changing and would do that too) in private or I used anti back hand gel and found a private area to shove them on. Cool bag in the bottom of the pram and off I went.
Ive been on a cruise while pumping, weddings, festivals and all sorts thanks to my wearable.
