My little one will be starting day care shy of 6 months old. We have no one who could watch after her. My MIL is stating that it’s not right and I should stay home cause my husband makes enough money.
One, yes he makes a lot of money but we both have car payments and bills.
Two, I worked my ass off to make $90,000 a year with no degree in a man based job and respectfully my mental needs adults. (I have zero friends that I hang outside of work with)
Three, I love the time I’ve spent with my daughter but the day care is amazing and does so many things with infants.
Don’t get me wrong it breaks my heart knowing she is going but we can’t provide a life for her if we both aren’t working.

Why cant the MIL offer? Honestly it's not fair. We love our babies but we also have things to take care of as you said bills and correct on the adult interaction. Don't make anyone make you feel bad my love do what you need to do
Just be vigilant about the daycare okay. All the best 🫶🏽

My mom tried to tell me the same thing . To just quit my job and let him take care of the bills . I didn’t take her advice , my job has good benefits . Don’t feel bad

I always knew I was not going to be a stay-at-home mom. Loving your children has nothing to do with whether you put them in daycare or not, and nobody should make you feel guilty. By the way, the feeling of guilt will stay with us no matter what; if they go, you'll feel guilty; if they don't, you will too.
I , personally, love daycare. They ll learned so much, socially, cognitively, etc. I just made sure it was a good daycare with people that truly enjoy it. For me, human touch was important. I truly won the lottery with our daycare, staff are so attentive and loving.
